Blakk Rasta, a Ghanaian reggae artiste and media personality, has showered praise on President John Dramani Mahama.
According to Blakk Rasta, President John Dramani Mahama is an angel without wings.
Black Rasta detailed that growing up, he was told that angels had wings, but for the first time, he is seeing an angel without wings, and that’s President Mahama.
The Ghanaian reggae artiste and media personality hailed President John Dramani Mahama for his style of leadership during his second tenure in office.
Black Rasta asserted that although he criticised Mahama during his first tenure in office, he now appreciates his efforts and humble nature.
Speaking in an interview with Kafui Dey, shared on X on March 16, 2026, Blakk Rasta stated, “President Mahama, honestly, when I was growing up, I was told that angels had wings. This is the first time I’m seeing an angel without wings, and that’s President Mahama.
“To be honest with you, I criticised him during his first tenure. Whom haven’t I criticised? People criticise me too. And they have come to realise that I criticise them not to destroy them, but to build them,” he said.
“No malice at all. I criticise people and later meet them, and I don’t even remember that they once passed through my hot oven of critical baking. Well, I said a lot about Mahama, and Mahama is that gentleman. He will listen. Whether he chooses to react or let it go is up to him,” he added.
Some Ghanaians reacting to Blakk Rasta’s praises of Mahama stated, “Eei mo nono.
Nobody will use his/her left hand to point at their house. I can defend my dad even if I know what I’m defending is not defending.
Big ups to Angel Mahama”.
“He feeds you.
Bro, step out of the studio and go to the market. Blake Rasta, you are not credible. Your poverty has made you a stomach journalist. We saw you at Prophet Kakandes’ church. You were advised to close your mouth so that you can also chop some of the national cake”, a netizen added.
Meanwhile, Nana Aba Anamoah, a renowned Ghanaian media personality, has praised the second coming of President John Dramani Mahama back into office.
According to Nana Aba Anamoah, he would rate the John Mahama-led NDC government 75% to 80%.
Nana Aba Anamoah detailed that the second coming of John Mahama has brought in a much-needed era of economic stability and ministerial humility compared to what Ghanaians witnessed under the past government.
The veteran Journalist asserted that President John Mahama has also learnt his lesson because in his first term, there were bouts of arrogance with his appointees.
Speaking in an interview on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z on Saturday, 21st February 2026, Nana Aba Anamoah stated, “ I will give the 75% to 80% because I think that His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has stabilised the economy… I think his Finance Minister is doing an excellent job. The economy is doing very well now compared to the last three to four years. Things were quite turbulent”.
“There was too much arrogance… from the previous administration. You could listen from their utterances on the radio, the way they were so dismissive of journalists and their commentary. It was just very, very arrogant,” she remarked.
“But I think that the second coming of JM is a great one. He’s learned his lessons because his first term also had bouts of arrogance—not with him, but with his appointees. But things are different now, it’s just a year, maybe too early in the day. But I think that the trajectory looks good, it looks positive, and I am happy with the work they are doing so far. The appointees are careful, they are handson, they show up”.
Nana Aba Anamoah further went on to list a few ministers she has noted who are doing an excellent job, saying, “I will give credit to the Gender minister; she is very responsive, she jumps on issues very quickly, she doesn’t wait for days to respond, she is doing an excellent job. The Foreign Minister is also very accessible; you tweet at him, he responds, and a few of the appointees are doing very well.
“My favourite really is Oboubia. I like what Oboubia is doing with Mahamacares. The way she goes to the hospitals and it’s become a weekly thing… I like that,” Nana Aba added.
