The General Overseer of Elohim International Ministry, Prophet William Gyimah, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service.
According to the Ghana Police Service, Prophet William Gyimah was arrested for allegedly issuing death threats against Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang in a viral video.
Reports suggest that the 49-year-old prophet was taken into custody on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, following an intelligence-led operation at Kasoa in the Central Region.
The arrest was said to be carried out by the IGP’s Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team (CVET) after a video circulated on TikTok and other social media platforms allegedly showing the suspect making the threats.
The Police detailed that the video was flagged through ongoing social media monitoring, prompting swift action by the specialised unit.
He has since been handed over to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for further investigations.
In related cases, Priscilla Ansong, a 35-year-old content creator, has been remanded into custody by the Adenta Circuit Court over the publication of false news.
The content creator was remanded over her false publication with the intent to mislead, cause fear and panic in violation of Section 208(1) of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).
The report suggests Priscilla Ansong was arrested after publishing a widely circulated video making disparaging remarks about the President and the First Lady.

She claimed unrest at the Flagstaff House and called viewers to watch the online content she referenced as evidence.
Speaking in the viral video, Priscilla Ansong stated, “Mr President, you sleep with the friends of your wife, how much more your house help? First Lady, have you also seen what you have caused? You have now been caught sleeping with another man. Everyone should go and watch what the president has done. He has slept with ladies, including his wife’s best friend, and now he has been caught. When his wife, the First Lady, also did the same, the president was angry.

Content creator, Priscilla Ansong, has been picked up and already taken to court for the publication of the video and the subsequent.
She has since been remanded into custody by the Adenta Circuit Court.
