According to reports, Judith Kidith Serwaa Ampaafo Appiah, a surrogate run away with a German burgar baby taking GH¢100,000 after signing a contract to carry their child through a formal surrogacy process.
The information shared by the Crime Check on February 27, 2026, detailed that the couple reportedly provided Judith with an extensive comfort package during the pregnancy with a fully funded rented apartment, a monthly stipend for feeding and upkeep.
They also provided her with a tricycle (Aboboyaa) business to ensure her financial stability post-pregnancy and full coverage of all antenatal and delivery costs.

A lady who was contracted by a couple based in Germany to carry a pregnancy for them has bolted after collecting Ghc100,000 in a surrogacy deal.
The young lady, Judith Kidith Serwaa Ampaafo Appiah, is reported to have escaped with the baby from the 37 Military Hospital after delivery.
Several attempts by the couple to reach her have been futile, and in the few times they have been be able to reach out to her, Judith told them, “Do you think I am stupid and naive,” heaping unprintable words on the couple. This is the same lady who agreed and signed legal documents to submit to the deal.
Judith is said to have enjoyed other benefits, including a rented apartment, a monthly allowance, feeding, a tricycle business, and other demands to make her comfortable.
Could someone be influencing Judith to backtrack on the deal? Crime Check spoke to the woman whose egg was removed for the pregnancy”.
Some Ghanaian reacting to the news wrote, “Hmm asemoo, in fact carrying a baby in ur womb for nine months is not a joke, and after giving birth seeing ur child smiling, sleeping and playing, it’s not easy to let it go, but anyway a deal is a deal, they should be patient with her”.
“As far as there is legally binding ( signing of documents), she aint going anywhere. If it doesn’t work, nkosua is more powerful than the Supreme Court”, a netizen added.
“As she claimed she was not stupid, I am deeply inclined to think that she was not oblivious of the legal ramifications of her actions”, one X user added.
A netizen added, “Which type of surrogacy did she sign to?
If her egg was not used, then she can’t be the biological mother. So why ran away with the child”.
“The annoying part is, she won’t be able to take care of the child too oo!”, one more X user added.
One more Ghanaian added, “Oh, I know her oo when she got that deal she even discussed it with me, and I saw the pregnant so how come mmm Sister serwaa”.
