President John Dramani Mahama has weighed IshowSpeed’s viral moment at the Hamamat Shea Butter Museum during his IRL stream in Ghana.

John Mahama recounted how his children drew his attention to the YouTuber sharing a video of his stop at the Shea Butter Museum in Accra.

According to President Mahama, the way IShowSpeed enjoyed his shea-butter massage, he is sure he will come back to Ghana.

Speaking at the launch of the SheaPark Resource Hub Project in Wa in the Upper West Region, President Mahama stated, “Recently, my children were all excited about some young man from America called IShowSpeed, who came to Ghana,” President Mahama said. “One of my children showed me a video of him in a shea butter museum of some sort.”

“I saw him lying down, and about 10 girls, all with shea butter, were massaging this boy. And the way he was enjoying it, he opened his mouth as if he couldn’t breathe. That guy, I’m sure he’ll come back here,” he added.

Darren Watkins Jr., commonly known as IshowSpeed, visited Ghana on January 26, 2026, where he took part in a series of cultural and tourism-related activities.

Reports suggest the Shea Butter Museum reached maximum capacity after being featured on the YouTuber’s platform.

Some Ghanaians are reacting to President Mahama’s comments, stating, “Culture meets the internet age.

When global creators like IShowSpeed pull up and spotlight places like the Hamamat Shea Butter Museum, it’s free tourism marketing. Good to see JM acknowledging the moment. Ghana no dey hide again, the world is watching”.

“My president is that 😂. You should go to his session before he leaves the office. Mahama yɛ guy, another netizen added.
