A tenant’s grandson, Paa Kwesi, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service after he assaulted a landlady to death in Agona Nyakrom.
Speaking in a viral video, the tenant’s grandson, Paa Kwesi, stated, “Maame, it was not me, it was my fault, my grandma asked me to go and eat, but I saw the sister (landlady)…”
Paa Kwesi was later captured in police custody, weeping bitterly.
This follows a report that a tenant had shockingly killed her landlady over sanitation issues.
According to reports, the landlady confronted a tenant for defecating into a polythene bag directly in front of the landlady’s room.
The tenant claimed her stomach was upset and she could not reach the public toilet in time.
Madam Charlotte, the landlady, questioned why the tenant chose to leave the waste at her doorstep rather than her own.
In a news card shared by Serwaa Amihere stated, “Tenant beats landlady to death over sanitation issues at Agona Nyakrom, Central Region”.
The State News in a post on X also shared more updates on the news, stating, “At Agona Nyakrom, Madam Charlotte, a landlady, has died after an alleged assault by Paa Kwesi, the grandson of a tenant.
The conflict began when the tenant defecated in a polythene bag and left it at Madam Charlotte’s doorstep, citing stomach issues.
After a heated argument and accusations of gossip, the grandson allegedly attacked the landlady with a belt. She was rushed to the Nyakrom Health Centre due to high blood pressure complications and later died upon referral to another hospital”.
Ghanaian social media users reacting to the video wrote, “Self-control is the greatest asset a human can have. If you have it, you may avoid a lot of tragedies. Inasmuch as we will get furious sometimes and would like ant to act, amidst that we should be able to think as well and control whatever is happening”
“This is to everyone. We will all be annoyed in life. People will make us angry. But if u let your anger control you. You would end up in situations u can never imagine. He has ended a life, amputated his destiny and destroyed both his family and hers. He’d regret this!!!”, a netizen advised.
One X user added, “Charley, I used to be quick tempered person. But through my painting and interior decor work. I have discovered a lot to overcome such nasty act. And it’s helping me a lot in my life”.
