Watch Adom Kyei’s church members rush to fetch sand from newly constructed auditorium

A video has surfaced of some members of Prophet Adom Kyei’s Believers Worship Centre, popularly known as the Philadelphia Movement, rushing to fetch sand from the premises of the newly constructed church auditorium.

According to the members of the Believers Worship Centre, they believe that it is a holy ground and possesses miracle-inducing properties.

The members asserted that they are doing this of their own volition, and believe, adding that they have not been directed by Prophet Adom Kyei to fetch the sand.

Some netizens reacting to the development wrote, “This is nothing new. People have faith in all manner of things. Whatever you believe will work either against you or on your behalf. Faith sometimes goes against “common sense” and that’s why it works for some and doesn’t work for others. If that’s their belief, good luck to them. We all believe something”.

A netizen noted, “Many Christians do similar during pilgrimage to Holy Sites in Jerusalem. Comes down to faith”.

“When faith turns into quarry work, it’s no longer worship; it’s superstition with branding. Miracles don’t come from sand; they come from sense”, one more X user added.

In related news, two people have been killed and 21 others injured after a church bus carrying Adom Kyei’s Church members crashed.

According to reports, the tragic incident occurred on the Assin Fosu–Kumasi highway on the night of January 1, 2025.

The crash occurred around 9:00 p.m. when a church-branded bus returning worshippers from a 31st Night service in Kumasi rammed into a crowd gathered for a street parade at Assin Dansame.

The bus, upon reaching Assin Dansame, collided with a crowd participating in a street parade, killing a 21-year-old apprentice and a Sunyani Technical University student, Maame Yaa, and another victim who died on the spot.

Reports suggest 21 other people sustained various degrees of injury and were rushed to different hospitals across the region.

The information gathered suggests the accident sparked outrage among residents, which led to the youths vandalising the bus.

The bus was completely destroyed; however, the Police were deployed to restore calm.

ASP Wonder Lumor of the Central North Regional MTTD Commander confirmed the incident.

He revealed investigations have been launched to determine the cause of the crash.

Meanwhile, Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei Duah has urged his church members to sell their properties and buy Adom Nyame.

The man of God made this known as his congregation prepared for the 31st Watch Night service.

According to Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei Duah, after his church members buy Adom Nyame, they would experience God’s glory in their lives.

Speaking to his congregation in a viral video shared, Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei Duah stated, “Listen to me; sell all your properties and come and buy Adom Nyame, because that is what I am offering tonight. After buying Adom Nyame, people around you will witness what the Lord will do through you. You will also prosper”.

“Considering all the testimonies being shared in this house, if I were to take your offerings and tithes, it would imply that the God I am following isn’t able to provide. So, sell your properties and buy Adom Nyame.

“I won’t plan to extort money from you, and I will never beg to eat. I won’t create fear or panic to take your money. This is the Adom Nyame I have possessed,” he added.
