A young Ghanaian woman has expressed deep disappointment in her boyfriend after he bought her a box of pizza as a birthday gift.
According to her, despite being unemployed, she still makes the effort to buy him quality items, including a high-end shirt she recently gifted him.
Speaking in the viral video, the young Ghanaian woman stated, while on a phone call with a friend, “If I knew, I would not have accepted it. Pizza? I nearly called the delivery guy to return it”.
“Herh, even me, that I am unemployed, when I go to town, the thing that I bring to you, I make sure it is quality. If you see the shirt that I sent to him, heavy cotton, even when he goes to town, he cannot afford it. He does not know how to buy those things”.
The Ghanaian woman’s reaction has ignited netizens on X, saying, “Patience is indeed a virtue. For all you know, this niqqa got some bigger than material thing and here she is writing him off to her friend. When will these girls learn?”.
Another X user added, “This is the part of human behaviour that will continue to baffle me. People go into relationships not to multiply, partner for a lifetime, companionship, but for material things? You don’t care about building a life together? These girls are practising SEX for GIFTS or just dumb?”
