Brazilian lawyer and content creator Leonardo Muylaert, popularly known as Superman ‘Tall Clark’, met His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Superman ‘Tall Clark,’ was at the Manhyia Palace during the 8th Akwasidae Festival of 2025, where he presented a gift to the King and shared a warm cultural exchange.
Videos of the Caucasian man dressed in a Superman costume went viral during the 8th Akwasidae Festival celebrations.
Tall Clark was accompanied by a Ghanaian aide and a woman when they paid homage to His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II during the 8th Akwasidae Festival of 2025.
He also presented a framed artwork to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Tall Clark then, in a speech, communicated his admiration for Ghanaian culture.
According to him, his symbol is to spread smiles across children’s hospitals, schools, and communities in different countries.
Meanwhile, Muylaert, a Brazilian civil-rights lawyer turned internet star, rose to fame thanks to his uncanny resemblance to Superman.
He now travels globally doing cosplay, charity work, and appearances at events and hospitals.
Also, Justin Frimpong Kodua, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary, has been spotted performing his traditional duties at the Manhyia Palace.
The NPP’s General Secretary was spotted clad in a traditional outfit, joining other drummers during the Akwasidae observation yesterday, November 9, 2025.
According to some netizens, Justin Frimpong Kodua is part of the Ahenkwaa and always serves.
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, yesterday observed the eighth Akwasidae Festival at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on November 9, 2025.
According to Peace FM, in a post on Facebook, stated, “Seated alongside Nananom and royals of the Kingdom, His Majesty received homage from the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council led by Regional Minister Frank Amoakohene, the Forestry Commission led by Deputy CEO Elikem Kotoko, Former Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Stephen Asamoah Boateng, Brazilian Superman Leonardo Muylaert and others”.
Meanwhile, the Akwasidae Festival is commemorated by the Ashanti people and chiefs in Ashanti, as well as the Ashanti diaspora.
The festival is celebrated on a Sunday, once every six weeks, and it’s centred on ancestral reverence, remembrance and acknowledgement of past kings and noble feats.
The information gathered suggests the Akwasidae Festival serves as a celebration of the Golden Stool and a cultural vibrancy that brings together the Asantehene, sub-chiefs, subjects and dignitaries at Manhyia in Kumasi.
