Kwesi Pratt Jnr, a Veteran journalist and Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, has quizzed Ken Agyapong, following a statement he made in his speech while conceding defeat during the NPP presidential primaries.

Ken Agyapong, addressing his supporters call on them to abandon the popular slogan “No Ken, No Vote” following his defeat.

He stated, “I know we have three years to go. Who knows what will happen? So, I want you to be patient. Don’t say ‘No Ken, No Vote’. That slogan should be out”.

Ken further added, “I am a veteran politician, so I know. I have gone through several defeats, so I cushion myself and expected the worst, and the worst has happened, but the worst doesn’t mean that is the end of life.

“So keep faith alive and be happy with the outcome. Who knows what will happen tomorrow…The delegates have spoken, and we have to take it. We don’t know what is in store for us tomorrow.”

He added. “I want to take this opportunity to thank Team Ken for the wonderful work you’ve done. We all admit we worked hard, but God’s time is the best. He knows what is good for us. I know most of you are dejected; you have to keep your spirit up because once we have life, we have everything. I have taken it coolly because in politics you can win, you can lose”.

“Do not use this against anybody in the party. Once they have decided, let’s all come together as party members and work together. Don’t say that ‘no Ken, no vote.’ If it had been Ken, what would other contestants’ supporters have said? So ‘no Ken, no votes’ should be out. Let’s come together as one people,” he added.

He further recognised the contributions of his team, saying, “So, especially Team Ken, the good works that you’ve done, I want to show my appreciation, and at an appropriate time we will meet and dine together”.

Reacting to Ken Agyapong’s statement on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo on February 3, 2026, Kwesi Pratt questioned what the former MP was saying.

Kwesi Pratt stated, “Do you remember what Ken said to the ‘No Kennedy, No Vote’ people? He said they should take time because in the three years ahead of us, nobody knows what will happen”

“So, I am asking, what will happen?”

Pratt suggested, “It is either Dr Bawumia will pick him as a running mate or there are other options that Kennedy Agyapong is trying to communicate”.

Meanwhile, Dr Stephen Amoah, the Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, has said Ken Agyapong is doing perfectly well following his defeat in the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer election.

According to Dr Stephen Amoah, he is visiting Ken Agyapong to tie up some issues.

He further described Ken Agyapong as a resilient political figure who values the nature of competitive politics.

Speaking on JoyNews’ Super Morning Show on Monday, February 2, Stephen Amoah revealed, “Even this morning, I’m trying to tie up one or two issues, and then I was still going to see Kennedy Agyapong. By the grace of God, he’s doing perfectly well”.

“He’s a politician, and you know the kind of person he is. If you’re close to him, he’s a different person altogether. He’s very fine,” the MP added.

Also, Stephen Amoah further revealed that they are yet to analyse the factors that led to Ken’s defeat in the NPP flagbearer contest.

He added, “When the results came in, we haven’t really sat down to analyse what happened. It’s barely a day. I don’t want to pre-empt anything”.

“What I can say is that the election was very peaceful and very successful. Whatever happened has happened, and as a party, we have won,” he stated.

“We have shown a high level of tolerance, peace and preparedness as a fraternity ready to govern. In the history of this country, I haven’t seen an election as peaceful as this,” Dr Amoah added.
