Prophet Kofi Oduro, the founder of the Alabaster International Ministry, has called out authorities on when Ghana’s criminals are coming home to serve jail terms.
The man of God particularly pointed fingers towards the former MASLOC CEO, Sedina Tamakloe Attionu, who has been sentenced to 10 years in jail by the High Court.
According to Prophet Oduro, it is an indictment of the sovereignty of Ghana that Americans can see criminals operating in our system but we can’t.
Speaking to his congregants, Prophet Kofi Oduro stated, “America has a system of bringing criminals to book; they can put people on a plane, go to another country, and arrest people who have perpetrated stuff against the American people. We are here, we cannot bring criminals to the law court, has the woman which the court sentenced to Nsawam, who is still abroad, how far?
EOCO, you have done a good job. You were part of this cybercrime arrest that went on. When are Ghana’s criminals coming home? To go and serve jail terms at Nsawam.
Isn’t it an indictment of the sovereignty of this Nation that other nationals can come here and see criminals operating in our system, and our people can’t see it? This boy took almost $8 million from a romance scam”.
Prophet Kofi Oduro’s remarks come on the heels of Abu Trica, a 31-year-old Ghanaian from Swedru, who was arrested for his alleged involvement in an $8 million romance scam which targeted elderly victims in the United States.
He was arrested in Ghana on December 11, 2025, following an investigation conducted by the FBI Cleveland Division and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Brian M. McDonough for the Northern District of Ohio.
Meanwhile, the Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Dr Dominic Ayine, has revealed that the Ghanaian government has formally applied to American authorities for the extradition of former MASLOC CEO, Sedina Tamakloe Attionu.
It will be recalled that Sedina Tamakloe Attionu has been sentenced to 10 years in prison by a High Court in Accra.
The former MASLOC CEO was sentenced to 10 years in prison with hard labour for causing financial loss of GH¢90 million to the state in April 2024.
In 2019, the case began; however, during the course of the trial, Sedina Tamakloe travelled to the United States to seek medical attention.
Sedina Tamakloe was tried in absentia after failing to return to Ghana.
A former Chief Operating Officer of MASLOC, Daniel Axim, was also sentenced to five years in prison with hard labour.
Sedina Tamakloe and Daniel Axim were found guilty on 78 counts of causing financial loss to the state, stealing, conspiracy to steal, money laundering, and causing loss to public property in violation of public procurement law.
According to the Attorney General, the government of Ghana wants Sedina Tamakloe to serve her 10-year jail term in Ghana.
Speaking on the floor of Parliament on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Dr Ayine revealed, “The Office of the Attorney General is awaiting the execution of our request to have her extradited to serve her prison sentence in Ghana.
The International Cooperation Unit of the Attorney General’s Department followed up on our request with the Department of Justice of the United States of America in September 2025”.
“So if there is any impression being created that I am not taking any steps, this is the evidence that in September, that is just a month ago, I took the step of inquiring from the United States Justice Department about the steps that they were taking in respect of the extradition.”
He added, “They indicated that they are following their extradition procedures in executing the request and that the fugitive will be extradited as soon as they have satisfied all the procedures. Thank you, Mr Speaker.”

EOCO and the FBI can join forces overnight to hunt down fŕáùdsters and ship Abu Trica straight to the America 🇺🇸 but the same energy mysteriously disappears when it comes to bringing Ken Ofori-Atta back to Ghana.
