Paul Yandoh, the Ashanti Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has said Chairman Wontumi two wives cars have been impounded by the government.
According to Paul Yandoh, Wontumi’s wives car was impounded purely because of their marriage to him.
Speaking on Abusus FM, Paul Yandoh claimed, “Another problem has been added to Wontumi. You know he has two wives; their cars have been impounded by the government because they married Chairman Wontumi.
All the cars have been confiscated from them purely because of their marriage to him. I don’t know whether they want his wives to divorce him. Upon all that has been done to him, the freezing of his mobile money, freezing his bank account, his pickups and excavators, his TV station and Radio station didn’t they close it?”
Yandoh added,“There was no reason, so who are you going to ask? he is in hardship and the hardship keeps mounting on, so 25th December if the flood does not come for us we will continue like that”.
“His wives are now walking”, he added.
Earlier, Paul Yandoh has claimed that money cannot be sent to Chairman Wontumi through mobile money.
According to Paul Yandoh, Chairman Wontumi is going through a lot, and when money is sent to him on MoMo, it reverses back to the sender.
He further alleged that one cannot reach Wontumi through a normal call unless through a WhatsApp call.
If you send MoMo to Wontumi, MTN reverses it back to you. I am telling you, they have frozen Wontumi’s MoMo with no transaction. They reverse the money and tell you not to send money to that number anymore.
Even recently, I got some 500 cedis I wanted to send to the Chairman, but when I sent it, the money reversed back. I have not seen that before.
He added, “Wontumi has been deprived of a lot. His MoMo is not working, even if you want to speak to Wontumi, unless you call him through WhatsApp call, they even want to take his number from him.
In a separate interview, speaking on Wontumi TV on Friday, October 17, 2025, Paul Yandoh lamented that Wontumi momo was frozen, saying “… Do you know that Chairman Wontumi’s Mobile Money wallet has been frozen? He cannot send nor receive money.
What Wontumi is going through is more than what Job went through in the Bible. This must be condemned by Ghanaians”.
Meanwhile, in court, lawyers for Wontumi application seeking additional disclosures from state prosecutors was thrown out.
