Six women have been arrested in connection with a suspected child trafficking syndicate.
Reports suggest the six women were arrested by the Central East Regional Police Command, with three children rescued during the intelligence-led operation.
The all-female child trafficking syndicate are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations.

The suspects, all female, are currently in police custody assisting with investigations, while the rescued children are receiving the necessary care and protection.
Authorities indicate that efforts are underway to identify and apprehend additional accomplices linked to the trafficking network as investigations continue”.
In other news, the Ghana Police Service has announced that they have arrested three more suspects in connection with the murder of Indian national Devendra Singh.
According to the Police, a breakthrough came on April 25, 2026, at about 2:00 p.m., when officers received information that the victim’s vehicle had been found abandoned on the outskirts of Sabin Akrofuom near Royal Lemosey Hospital.
Reports suggest the houseboy who was arrested in connection with the murder confessed during investigations that he provided key information about the victim’s movements to someone who had a dispute with the Indian man.
The news shared by EDHUB on X stated, “A houseboy of Indian national Devendra Singh, whose body was found in the boot of his car in Kumasi after he was murdered by unknown assailants, has reportedly admitted to having a role in his employer’s death.
According to Adum TV, the suspect, initially arrested in connection with the case, confessed during investigations that he provided key information about the victim’s movements and daily routine to individuals who allegedly had a dispute with the deceased.
He further reportedly mentioned the names of those involved in the incident”.
Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, addressing the press on Friday, May 8, disclosed that police intelligence operations conducted on April 29 and 30 led to the arrest of three additional suspects identified as Osman Moro, also known as Tiago, 20, Hakim Kudjoe Jnr, and Moro Sulley, alias Moro Aboboyaa.
She detailed that the arrest follows the earlier arrest of suspect John Adokpo, also known as Peter.
ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi told the press that Hakim Kudjoe Jnr admitted his involvement in the crime and told investigators that on April 24, confessing that he went to the deceased’s workplace and replaced the CCTV camera server with the assistance of suspect Moro Sulley, leading the police to the location where the CCTV server was retrieved.
The police added that the suspect, Hakim Kudjoe Jr., confessed to taking the deceased’s iPhone 17 Pro Max and a Tecno mobile phone after the murder, handing the iPhone to Osman Moro at Kaase and giving the Tecno phone to Moro Sulley.
ACP Ansah-Akrofi added that Moro Sulley was identified as the individual who assisted in replacing the CCTV server at the deceased’s workplace, with suspect John Adokpo admitting to driving the deceased’s vehicle to the location where it was eventually discovered.
“All the suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations, while efforts are ongoing to arrest two other persons believed to be connected to the case,” ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi added.
