Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, has declared Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the strongest, most credible, and most electable leader to lead the NPP.

Annoh-Dompreh refuted claims that the NPP’s internal contest was about individual or regional interests.

He urged NPP delegates that Dr Bawumia represents the clearest path back to power for the NPP.

Speaking during Dr Bawumia’s re-election campaign activities in the Ashanti Region, Frank Annoh-Dompreh stated, “Adutwum is from the Ashanti Region. Let’s tell Adu Twum that this fight is not his fight. This is not Kwabena Agyapong’s fight; this fight is for Bawumia”.

“Let it be put on record, without ambiguity or apology, that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is the strongest, most credible, and most electable leader to lead the NPP to victory and secure the future of this party,” Annoh-Dompreh declared.

Also, Frank Annoh Dompreh reminded NPP delegates that the NDC backed John Mahama even when he lost by over one million votes in the 2016 elections.

According to Annoh-Dompreh, the NDC stood firmly behind Mahama even after he lost a general election by a margin of more than one million votes, arguing that political resilience and loyalty to a proven candidate often yield long-term rewards.

He stated, The NDC still brought Mahama even when he lost by over one million votes”.

Annoh-Dompreh urged NPP delegates to draw lessons from the opposition’s approach and stand solidly behind Dr Bawumia as he seeks re-election to lead the party into the 2028 general elections.

Additionally, Frank Annoh-Dompreh has told NPP delegates not to go and spoil their votes as he rallies support for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to Frank Annoh-Dompreh, Bawumia is going to win the NPP presidential election, so delegates should not waste their vote by voting for other candidates.

The MP stressed that the NPP must be united behind a clear frontrunner for the rebuilding efforts of the party.

Frank Annoh-Dompreh stated, “Bawumia is going to win the forthcoming presidential primaries. So don’t go and spoil your vote,“

Dr Adutwum is my close friend, and we all worship as members of the Church of Pentecost. We even met at the business committee, and I told him, my brother, this battle is not yours,” Mr Annoh-Dompreh stated.

Frank Annoh-Dompreh further added that leadership succession within the party should be guided by long-term vision. He further told the other NPP aspirants, “This is not your time, although your time will come”.

The Nsawam-Adoagyiri MP reechoed his confidence that Dr Bawumia remains the best positioned to lead the party into the next general elections.
