A young man has been arrested after attempting to steal a car.
Reports suggest the suspect fled the scene in the car but was pursued by a group of motorbike riders, forcing him to crash, which led to his arrest.
The young man, after the arrest, claimed that he did not know what came over him to attempt the theft.
In the widely circulated video, the young man was heard saying, “I don’t know what came over me to attempt the theft. Please forgive me; I regret my actions. Additionally, I didn’t intend to steal the car. Trust me on this.”
Two bystander was also heard shouting, “Bring him out of the car; let’s deal with him. He deserves to be beaten.”
Another voice in the video stated, “Instead of stealing what doesn’t belong to you, go out there and look for work. Thieves like you are the reason people can’t enjoy their hard-earned possessions. You deserve to face justice.”
Some netizens reacting to the news stated, “This shows how desperation and lack of self-control can derail a young life fast”.
A netizen added, “Serious depression and frustration. He waited for the man till he came before he moved the car. For all you know, he didn’t want to steal, but he later had a second thought. Secof money and unemployment. People really Dey go through me. Sigh”.
“Some of us just stress our family. How can u steal a car in the morning? Aba, this one he’s stressed his family members for no reason”, one more netizen added.
“Nahhh, I can’t believe this bro, he just be “car gbee” cus he asked to use my car for settings in December and he used my phone for the videos I still have them”, another X user stated.
One more X user added, “Someone saves for years to buy a car, and you now say you don’t know what came over you to steal it. Counterback will help him find out what came over him”.
“Kwasia he don’t know what … imagine he stole the car, what would have happened to the car owner..”, a netizen added.
An X user added, “You people should stop blaming it on Spirituality. He has been stealing, but not to that extent, but tried to go all in that day and got caught. Kwasia he dey say oh oh oh”.
Additionally, one more Ghanaian added, “Instant justice is not the right option 😒Why not give him a lawyer to defend himself if found guilty, then the law will punish him accordingly”
Meanwhile, reports suggest the young man arrested for attempting to steal a car is an upcoming musician going by the stage name ‘Snowbird’.
