Julius Neequaye Kotey, the Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), has debunked allegations of employing NPP Loyal Ladies.

According to the DVLA CEO, allegations circulating on social media that he offered employment slots to individuals affiliated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are untrue.

The DVLA CEO described the allegations of employing NPP Loyal Ladies as a Mafia-style character assassination attempt.

In a Facebook statement issued on February 19, 2026, Julius Neequaye Kotey wrote, “Disclaimer Regarding False Employment Allegations.

I, Julius Neequaye Kotey, my attention has been drawn to a video circulating on social media falsely alleging that I have given employment slots to NPP loyal ladies.

Following a thorough investigation, I have identified the individuals behind this “mafia-style” character assassination attempt, including the specific financial inducements involved.

I wish to state categorically that I have not given any employment slots to any NPP group or individual.

To those plotting further: my integrity remains intact, and truth will always prevail.

I trust in God to continue exposing those who seek to undermine me through falsehoods”.

In related news, Anita Desoso, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) stalwart, has blownan alarm, alleging that some persons within the party are selling appointments.

According to her, certain elements are selling positions in the government even to members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) who insulted the NDC.

She alleged that the positions are not being sold by the NDC executives, adding that persons who are unknown to the party are receiving appointments while NDC grassroots members have been abandoned.

Anita Desoso urged the leadership of the party to take the grassroots of the party seriously.

Speaking on Atinka TV, Anita Desoso stated, “A lot of our people are lamenting about employment and other issues. The second point is that many NPP people who insulted us have been given appointments.

But this is not the fault of the party leaders… people are selling positions. It is surprising that people we didn’t know and others who were with the NPP during the election have gotten appointments.

“So, a lot of people are angry. My ears are even hurting as people come to my house complaining, and I ask them to be patient. I explain to them that you need your opponents for certain things sometimes, and I also tell them that the NDC and NPP are not enemies, and it is possible that indirectly they contributed to the party’s victory,” she said in the Twi dialect.

However, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has told disgruntled party members that President John Mahama cannot appoint everyone.

According to Asiedu Nketia, appointments under the current Mahama administration are limited; however urged party supporters who are yet to receive appointments to remain calm and exercise patience.

The NDC National Chairman further stressed that it is practically impossible to appoint all deserving members at the same time, citing the constitutional restrictions placed on the president’s appointment.

Asiedu Nketia further urged party members to avoid resorting to anger or public criticism and to use internal channels to seek redress for their grievances.
