A retired Military Officer identified as Michael Molley, commonly known as Gago, has opened up about how former President John Agyekum Kufuor ordered him to eliminate the late Jerry John Rawlings and Veteran Journalist Kwesi Pratt.
According to the retired Military Officer, former President Kufuor told him to eliminate Rawlings and Kwesi Pratt, but he refused.
He alleged that Kufuor told him to eliminate Rawlings because he was bothering him, adding that he made a similar request, asking him to eliminate Kwesi Pratt because he was writing negative things about him.
Speaking on Kofi TV, the retired Military Officer alleged, saying, “President Kufour is alive, they should ask him, Mr Kufour, look at me, I am talking to you, didn’t you also say that I should eliminate Rawlings? It is true; let him answer it. That is what he told, and it is not a lie. That was why I said, “Give me a Bible to swear”.
God will not forgive me if I am lying”.
The retired military officer, Michael Molley, was handed a Bible, where he swore.
He further alleged, “Mr Kufuor, you told me Rawlings was bothering you, so I should eliminate him, and Kwesi Pratt has been writing things against you, so I should eliminate him”.
“I told him I am not a killer, Mr Kufuor. Next time you tell me, I will leave Ghana. Mr Kufuor, am I lying? This is a Bible I am holding? You, too, take a Bible and swear you never told me. Bible, if I am lying, don’t let me reach home, just eliminate me”, he claimed.
Some TikTokers reacting to the former military man allegation stated, “What lessons I have learnt from this video is that, the best person to reveal your secrets to is yourself, no matter how happy you are with friends or how loyal friends are to you. Good times fades quickly”.
“You guys think something can hide in this life no matter how it is the secret will come out one day”, another netizen added.
A netizen quizzed, “When he takes you to court, do you have evidence?”.
One more TikToker added, “My question is, what was he doing with his salary when he was in active service? Such that he didn’t even have a personal shelter”.
In other news, Kwesi Pratt Jnr, a renowned Ghanaian broadcaster and Pan-Africanist, has recounted his first encounter with President Jerry John Rawlings after his time in jail during the revolution era.
The veteran journalist disclosed that the late Rawlings persistently sought a meeting with him through Ralph Kessley-Hayford, but he kept declining the offer.
According to Kwesi Pratt, after agreeing to meet Jerry John Rawlings, they spoke for close to five hours, during which he told him he was not responsible for his arrest.
Speaking in an interview with Kafui De on March 24, 2026, Kwesi Pratt recounted, “That was in 2001, after the handover. He insisted on seeing me. I refused the first time. He had approached a friend of mine, Ralph Kessley-Hayford, and asked him to convince me to meet him.
“Eventually, I agreed, and we met. The three of us spoke for about four and a half hours. It was during that meeting that he told me he was not responsible for my arrest and detention,” he said.
Kwesi Pratt added, “He told me that some of my own friends were the ones pushing for my arrest and detention, and that, as a leader, he could not ignore them. However, when I tried to verify this, I found that the truth was quite different.
“But we spoke for four and a half hours, and it generated a lot of public reaction. President Kufuor and others could not understand why, after all the struggle, I ended up meeting Jerry Rawlings,” he added.
Also, he revealed that former President John Agyekum Kufuor once offered to represent him in a trial, but he declined the offer.
The Veteran journalist recounted that he decided to defend himself because he believed the case was politically motivated.
