Benjamin Asare has become a source of deep emotion in Korle Gonno, a suburb of Accra, where he was raised.

In the viral video shared by JOYPrime, an emotional Benjamin Asare’s grandmother urged him to remain humble and dedicated to his duties, expressing confidence that God would continue to elevate him to greater heights.

Some Ghanaians reacting to the emotional video stated, “This right there is what from grass to grace means.

She remembers their struggles and how their struggles have paid off through Asare.

Meanwhile, Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, commonly known as SM, has bragged following Ghana’s 0–0 draw with England at the Gillette Stadium.

England and Ghana shared the spoils in a game defined by missed chances, disciplined defending, and a standout goalkeeping display from Benjamin Asare.

According to Benjamin Asare, facing England’s superstar striker Harry Kane was normal for him.

Speaking to the media after the game, Benjamin Asare stated, “Facing Harry Kane is normal because top goalkeepers also concede goals; they score them, how much more me, but I always want to prove myself to people; that is my job. I am so impressed that God makes me prove this point to the Ghanaian people”.
