Sabina Elson Godson, wife of Pastor Kelvin Elson Godson, popularly known as Pastor Kelvin Kwesi Kobiri, has accused the Member of Parliament for Akwatia, Bernard Bediako Baidoo, of theft and robbery.
In a video shared on X, Sabina launched a verbal attack on the Akwatia MP, questioning his conduct and challenging him to allow the allegations against him to be tested in court.
Sabina Elson Godson also took issue with his use of the title “Honourable” and the legal title “Esq”, arguing that his actions did not reflect the standards associated with such designations.
“I am here to address an important matter, Bernard Bediako. I’m not adding the honourable because your deeds do not depict that of an honourable; neither will I add esq because I don’t know the law school you passed out from,” she said.
She went on to describe the Akwatia MP as a thief and accused him of committing robbery, referencing an earlier exchange between the lawmaker and Miracle Aboagye on national television.
According to Sabina, during the exchange, Bediako Baidoo admitted to taking money but reportedly sought to justify his actions on the grounds that the funds did not come from the public purse.
“You are a thief, and you have committed robbery. You have the boldness to admit on national TV when you had that banter with Miracle Aboagye when he confronted you and said you are a thief. You admitted to it, claiming it was not the public purse,” she stated.
She rejected the suggestion that the alleged conduct should be overlooked because the money involved did not belong to the state.
“You have stolen because it is not the public purse; we should let it slide. Listen, listen, it will never slide,” she added.
Sabina further challenged the MP to allow the matter to proceed to court if he believed he had done nothing wrong.
“If you think you are innocent and have a case, why don’t you allow the matter to go to court? Why are you using state apparatus to suppress the matter?” she questioned.
Her comment follows a heated confrontation that broke out between Akwatia Member of Parliament Bernard Bediako and the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Communications Director, Miracles Aboagye, during a discussion on JoyNews’ Newsfile programme on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
The disagreement erupted after the two panellists exchanged accusations of corruption, with each questioning the other’s integrity.
During the discussion, the Akwatia MP accused Miracles Aboagye of having his assets confiscated by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) over alleged corruption-related activities.
The allegation angered the NPP director of communication, who responded with personal attacks, describing the Akwatia MP as an “empty lawyer” and a “thief.”
He also sought to link Bernard Bediako to an alleged financial dispute involving a pastor who had reportedly accused the legislator of stealing money from him.
The exchange became increasingly heated as the two men traded accusations and sharp remarks.
“You are an empty lawyer and a thief; you cannot do anything to me. Let this be your first and last. When the pastor said you stole his money, did anyone arrest you? Don’t ever try me again,” Aboagye said.
Bediako, however, pushed back against the allegation, insisting that the money at the centre of the matter did not belong to the state.
“It is not public money,” the Akwatia MP replied.
The allegation stems from Pastor Kelvin accusing the Akwatia MP of orchestrating a grand scheme to sell the properties and land of Air Real Estate Company Limited.
Pastor Kelvin, in a video, accused the NDC Member of Parliament for Akwatia, Bernard Bediako Baidoo, of fraud.
According to Pastor Kelvin, Bernard Bediako Baidoo allegedly orchestrated a grand scheme to sell the properties and land of a company, Air Real Estate Company Limited.
The pastor alleged that the MP forged documents to win a case in court, allowing him to sell the properties.
He further accused the NDC MP of using a non-existent identity and business transaction to gain access to the said lands and properties.
Speaking in a video shared on Facebook, Pastor Kelvin alleged, saying, “From police findings, Bernard Bediako Baidoo is the brain behind the whole thing. (He) created a transaction that doesn’t exist. Filed a writ in court through Amoaku Adjei’s chambers. Executed the writ and got judgment, and then executed the auction.
“Look at the property there. He sold 14 of these, 14 of these. That’s not the entire thing, so there was bare land of about 8.2 acres, which we haven’t gotten to yet. We are dealing with these properties first,” the pastor said.
He further alleged, “So the case here is that simple. The case is number one. Augustine Ampofo Bediako cannot be found, and also had no transaction at all with Air Real Estate Limited, nor did any worker of Air Real Estate Limited ever know him?
“As we speak, nothing like that. Nobody knew him. Access Bank says he made no payment into any account that we know is associated with Air Real Estate Limited. These are your statements.
So a transaction that never existed, that never happened, is what Bernard Bediako Baidoo created only because he wanted to sell off our properties because at that he knew our hands were changed.
Sold the property out of fraud and had the confidence. A lawyer, a competent lawyer, had the confidence to go and lie to the court with this kind of attitude, this, my goodness, and won the case and executed the transaction,” he claimed.
