The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) chief investigator, Frank Marshall Cromwell, has told the Accra High Court in the ongoing trial against former National Signals Bureau (NSB) Director-General, Kwabena Adu-Boahene, that the accused’s average monthly salary did not match his expensive properties.
Frank Marshall Cromwell disclosed that Adu-Boahene’s average monthly salaries between 2017 and 2019 were ₵5K, ₵6K, and ₵7K, respectively, and do not match his expensive properties.
According to EOCO’s chief investigator, they find it strange that Adu-Boahene and his wife own such expensive properties.
A GHOne news card quoting Frank Marshall Cromwell stated, “Adu-Boahene’s average monthly salaries between 2017 and 2019 were ₵5K, ₵6K, and ₵7K, respectively. We[EOCO] find it strange that he and his wife own such expensive properties”.
In related news, the Office of the Attorney General (AG) in the ongoing GH¢48 million National Signals Bureau (NSB) trial has shared details of properties allegedly acquired by the embattled former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), Kwabena Adu Boahene.
The state prosecutors shared details of the landed properties the former NSB boss was alleged to have acquired between 2017 and 2020 while in office as part of a motion on notice to make further disclosures filed by the Attorney General, Dr Dominic Ayine Akuritinga.
The AG document showed that Adu-Boahene allegedly bought six landed properties between 2017 and 2020 with payments ranging from $150,000 to $1 million.
See the list of properties below:
“1. No. 2 Stream Part Drive, Mayfair Estates, LA, Accra: A deposit of $1,000,000 (valued at GH¢15,000,000) was made for this estate. Relevant deposit slips and receipts have been traced.
2. No. 6 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA, Accra: A deposit of $500,000 was recorded for this property.
3.No. 7 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA, Accra: A deposit of $200,000 was recorded for this asset.

6. No. 10 Edith Avenue, Mayfair Estates, LA, Accra: The deposit amount for this property stands at $150,000.
The disclosure also showed the salaries the former NSB boss received while in office, which ranged between GH¢5,000 and GH¢7,000”.
Meanwhile, Samuel Atta Akyea, a Lawyer for the former National Signals Bureau (NSB) Director-General, Kwabena Adu-Boahene, has fired shots at the Attorney General’s prosecution in his client’s ongoing trial.
Atta Akyea, after the prosecution began its examination-in-chief of EOCO investigator Frank Marshall Cromwell, told the media that one cannot imprison a man based on one’s theories or the lack of understanding of national security matters.
Speaking to journalists after the proceedings on June 22, 2026, Atta Akyea stated, “He was a witness I was waiting for, and when we start a cross-examination, the whole world will know that you don’t imprison a man based on your theories and even lack of understanding of national security matters”.
“Well, this is the most important witness for the prosecution. He’s trying to explain his investigations. So, he’s doing some work, and I’m afraid he’s probably a conveyor belt for the Attorney General, to show whether he did some investigations or he’s trying to put across some theories for the judge to swallow. So, let’s see how it pans out,” he stated.
Lawyer Atta Akyea added, “We are in a very interesting theatre. If a national security Capo wants to steal money, will he steal the money through a bank? We’ll see”.
“You will come out clearly on good evidence, which will be the basis to convict a man. So, I’m excited that he started, but he can’t improve upon his witness statement,” Atta Akyea added.
