“Mahama has made the NDC more attractive, NPP should be worried” – Ernest Owusu Bempah

0

Ernest Owusu Bempah, the Deputy Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has praised President John Dramani Mahama for making the NDC more attractive in his second term.

According to Ernest Owusu Bempah, he will give President Mahama 100 per cent for appointing those who worked tirelessly for him to become president again.

He explained that the opposition New Patriotic Party must be concerned about how John Mahama is managing the affairs of the country.

Ernest Owusu Bempah further asserted that President Mahama is indirectly making the NDC attractive to the youths, and the NPP must be concerned.

Speaking on Atinka TV, Ernest Owusu Bempah explained, “He has done very well, and so I will give him 100 per cent, especially for appointing people who worked tirelessly to campaign for him during the election. This shows that he was grateful for their efforts”.

“From what he is doing now, if you belong to a political party such as the NPP, you have to be worried because, indirectly, he is making his party attractive to the youth.

“And if we do not restructure ourselves as a political party, we will suffer because the new youth and the current crop of individuals venturing into politics are thinking differently,” he added.

In related news, Ernest Owusu Bempah last year told the NPP it has no right to criticise Mahama over galamsey.

Owusu Bempah emphasised that NPP members have no moral right to exploit the matter of galamsey for political gain, as some of them were involved in illegal mining, which hindered the former president Akufo-Addo’s efforts to combat galamsey.

Speaking in a self-recorded video shared on X, Ernest Owusu Bempah stated, “I have seen NPP members who have risen, having the moral audacity to fight galamsey, and have the nerve to criticise John Mahama. I, Owusu Bempah, will not go into that tangent when I speak; people think I am just being controversial, but it is a fact”.

He recounted that in 2012, NPP members organised a demo against Mahama for turning Ghana into a galamsey headquarters, but did the same when they came to office in 2016.

Owusu Bempah added, “We were here in 2012 when we organised demonstrations against John Mahama, claiming he had turned Ghana into a galamsey headquarters. Our own party members used galamsey for politics with the sitting president, Akufo-Addo, putting his presidency on the line.

But allegedly, due to the people around him being part of galamsey activities, some of them came to continue the NDC’s mess.  So what moral right do we have to even come back and today use galamsey to do politics?”

He further highlighted that, “Akufo-Addo was prepared to fight galamsey, but because some people were doing it under his own watch, allegedly, our own government could not fight to achieve the dreams of Akufo-Addo”.

$20bn ORAL recovery could be achieved, if offshore funds are included – AG

0

Dr Dominic Ayine, the Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, has said the $20 billion ORAL’s projection recovery could be achieved if offshore funds being pursued are added.

It will be recalled that on February 10, 2025, the ORAL team submitted their final report to President John Mahama, who has since directed the Attorney General for further actions.

The chairman of Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL), and Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa revealed that with just 36 cases, Ghana can potentially recover $ 20.49 billion in stolen state resources.

According to the Attorney General, Ablakwa’s $20 billion ORAL’s projection recovery places enormous pressure on him because Ghanaians now expect that amount to be delivered.

Speaking on Starr Chat with Bola Ray on Thursday, Dr Ayine explained that the $20 billion was Ablakwa’s own calculations and estimates.

He, however, asserted that the recovery could approach $20 billion if funds being pursued offshore are taken into account.

Dr Ayine detailed, “First, I was asked when we are going to see the $20 billion being recovered. I explained that this figure was a projection made by the ORAL Committee Chairperson, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, when we came into power.

“On the day the ORAL report was handed over to me, he mentioned the $20.1 billion figure. However, that amount was based on his own calculations and estimates.” He stated.

He further explained, “When you take DRIP, the amount involved is over $100 million. When you consider the estimated value of lands allegedly looted, including prime lands such as those in Cantonments, the figures rise significantly.

However, the amount mentioned by the ORAL Chairman was more of a back-of-the-envelope calculation rather than a precise or verified figure. The expectation of a $20 billion recovery places enormous pressure on me because the public now expects that amount to be delivered.”

Dr Ayine further detailed, “It could approach $20 billion if funds being pursued offshore are taken into account, because a lot of money was moved out of the country. But when it comes to what is currently in-country, the figures will depend on the specific cases under investigation.”

Meanwhile, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, has warned the ruling NDC government that if the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) fails, Ghana is finished.

According to Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Ghanaians want swift justice, but the wheels of justice grind slowly.

He revealed that hundreds of houses have been confiscated, and numerous accounts have been frozen.

Ablakwa boldly added that if ORAL fails, Ghana is finished, adding that the very survival of our democracy is in peril.

Speaking in an interview on TV3, Ablakwa noted that the Attorney General, Dr Dominic Ayine Akuritinga Ayine, is working tirelessly on the ORAL cases.

He explained, “The Attorney General does not want to go to court and give anyone a chance to escape on some technicality or sloppy investigation. He ensures the evidence is solid, making it very difficult for anyone to evade justice”.

“Hundreds of houses have been confiscated, numerous accounts have been frozen, and assets are being secured with support from investigative bodies including IOKO, BNI, Shiraj, and OSP.” He emphasised that if these assets are auctioned, “significant funds will be retrieved for the taxpayer”, he added.

The foreign minister reassured Ghanaians, “Yes, people want swift justice, but the wheels of justice grind slowly. What matters is the commitment, and I can assure you, our commitment has not faltered”.

“The president keeps telling us, I will not save you, I will not protect you, I will not be a clearing agent. See what is going on, learn from it, and conduct yourselves with accountability, transparency, and integrity,” he said.

“ORAL must succeed because we have no choice. If ORAL fails, we are finished, and the very survival of our democracy is in peril,” he said.

A video has surfaced of the KMA task force disciplining a Trotro mate and his driver.

According to reports, the confrontation stems from the driver and the mate creating false scarcity and overpricing transport fares in Kumasi.

In the viral video, the KMA task force stormed the trotro, exchanging blows with a trotro mate and driver over.

A netizen who shared the video stated, “Just In: Presumed ‘Aban’ KMA task force officer disciplines Trotro mate and his driver for creating false scarcity and overpricing transport fares in Kumasi”.

“They were charging GH₵15 from Kejetia to Macro. The officers told them the fare was too high and that since the approved rate is GH₵3.70p, they could at least charge GH₵5,” the eyewitness recounted.

“When the driver and his mate refused to reduce the fare, one officer entered the vehicle and asked passengers to get down. Those in the front seat got off, and the officer sat there to prevent the driver from moving,” the eyewitness added.

“As more passengers began to leave, the driver became angry and punched the officer, who retaliated. Another officer then joined in and started beating both the driver and his mate,” the eyewitness narrated.

Some Ghanaians reacting to the news stated, “They should reduce their source of income, is it the only troski there? The current leaders in power are affecting the business of the citizens without creating jobs or finding good solutions.

Next campaign will be interesting”.

Another netizen stated, “They will later call the youth lazy if they don’t work, but see as these fools are beating them for work and taking honest fares”.

“U will see some people supporting these trotro drivers, but when it’s abt game boys di3 they will be calling for their head .. Is Kalabuley also not fraud? I support the task force paaa”, another netizen wrote.

Meanwhile, Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the Vice President, has assured Ghanaians that the government is aware of the transport crisis and steps are being taken to address the situation.

Speaking at a stakeholder meeting on Friday, January 16, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang recognised the difficulties currently faced by commuters.

The Vice President stated, “Sometimes, the problem is caused by all kinds of situations, including even exploitation by some of our own drivers, long queues at bus stops and terminals, congestion and all kinds of stress that come with the situation”.

“We want our fellow countrymen and women to be aware that government is not blind to the situation, that we have not seen and we don’t care. We don’t think it is somebody’s problem; it is everybody’s problem. That is why I started by saying that we need to team up to find the solutions.”

The vice president further announced that the government will roll out buses for both public and private transport operators.

She added, “His Excellency has asked me to assure all of you that he will give support to Metro Mass, Aayalolo and the private sector with new high-occupancy buses in order to augment the services in the medium term”.

“We also have plans to ensure that those that need to be repaired, the processes will be expedited to ensure they can put more buses on the road as soon as possible,” she added.

Tragic – One dead, another injured at Takoradi–Cape Coast road expansion site

0

One person has been confirmed dead, with another injured in a tragic accident at the Takoradi–Cape Coast road expansion site.

According to reports, two mechanics were working on a faulty bulldozer when the tragic accident occurred.

The faulty bulldozer is said to belong to XNL Construction Company.

The reports suggest the machine reportedly moved unexpectedly, injuring a worker and leading to the death of one mechanic at the scene.

In the post shared by SIKAOFFICIAL, he stated, “A tragic accident has occurred at the Takoradi–Cape Coast road expansion site, where two mechanics were working on a faulty bulldozer belonging to XNL Construction Company.

The machine reportedly moved unexpectedly due to a mechanical fault, running over the workers. One mechanic died at the scene, while the other sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment in hospital”.

Some Ghanaians reacting to the tragic news stated, “This is heartbreaking. People leave home just to earn an honest living and never make it back. Safety can’t be an afterthought on these sites. One life lost is too many. My thoughts are with the family and the injured worker”.

“Isolating the equipment ie. turning off the engine (if not needed for repair purposes) and putting a chock before going under it to work, is very necessary”, a netizen added.

One X user stated, “One of the things basically ignored about most construction companies is prioritising safety. A thorough risk assessment, well-trained mechanics, and robust supervision in place would have somehow saved this incident from happening. I feel so bad when I see such cases”

“Oh! Men went out to work to bring money home, and this is how it has ended. So help them God. May his soul rest in peace”, another Ghanaian wrote.

Meanwhile, last year, President Mahama cut sod for the dualisation of the 73.6-kilometre Cape Coast–Takoradi road under the Big Push.

The project is expected to be completed in two years, which will feature nine interchanges, 10 bridges, 15 footbridges, and 20 kilometres of service roads, along with rest stops and axle load stations to improve safety and traffic flow.

“Construction works have been divided into three lots, with three contractors assigned as follows:

Lot 1: Cape Coast to Kissi

Lot 2: Kissi to Daboase

Lot 3: Daboase to Takoradi Airport Roundabout”

In 2025, Ghana’s economy defied odds – IMF

0

Dr Adrian Alter, the IMF Resident Representative in Ghana, has praised the managers of the country’s economy.

According to the IMF Resident Representative, Ghana in 2025 performed better than expected.

Speaking on Joy News’ PM Express Business Edition on Thursday, Dr Adrian Alter stressed that Ghana’s IMF programme is solid and on track.

He explained, “Ghana’s programme remains solid and on track with the fifth review being completed, and disbursement being done at the end of December”.

“All indicative and performance criteria targets have been met,” he said. “And most of the reform agenda has been concluded and implemented.”

He pointed to decisive actions, saying, “The authorities implemented strong corrective actions in the aftermath of the 2024 fiscal slippages,” he said, adding that “the 2025 macroeconomic outcomes have been better than expected.”

“Inflation came down faster than expected,” he said. “Growth exceeded expectations. Reserves have improved. The currency appreciated and stabilised.”

“There are many, many macroeconomic indicators that perform very well at the same time,” Dr Alter noted.

Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has insisted that the Gold Board (GoldBod) made US$214 million losses in its operations.

According to the IMF Director of Communications, Julie Kozack, the GoldBod’s $214 million loss stemmed from trading activities, fees, and exchange rate movements.

Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, 15th January 2026, IMF Director of Communications Julie Kozack stated, “The loss stemmed from trading activities, fees, and exchange rate movements. While it is not formally recorded on the government’s fiscal balance sheet, it ultimately represents a cost to the state”.

“These steps are critical to ensure the Bank of Ghana remains financially sound,” she concluded,

Julie Kozack stressed the need for clearer reporting and enhanced oversight of the gold purchase programme.

However, Sammy Gyamfi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), has said any loss under the Gold-for-Reserves (G4R) is not attributable to an eight-month-old GoldBod.

Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile on Saturday, January 3, Mr Gyamfi explained, “That program, any loss under it is not attributable to an eight-month-old GoldBod, neither is it attributable to mismanagement or incompetence by the BoG. Dr Asiamah [BoG boss] is a hero; he and that wonderful team at BoG have not, through mismanagement or incompetence cause any loss”.

“So we are not saying we have not made a loss, but somebody has made a loss through mismanagement. No, that is the policy design, and it is so sad that those under whom the policy was introduced are now feeling ignorant about the policy objects and the policy design,” he added.

Sammy Gyamfi further clarified that the Gold-for-Reserves (G4R) is being run by the Bank of Ghana (BoG).

According to Sammy Gyamfi, the Gold-for-Reserves programme is not an operation designed or owned by GoldBod.

He added, “The Gold-for-Reserves programme we have been running this year is a Bank of Ghana programme introduced in 2022.

“It is funded by the Bank of Ghana, and it has always sat in the books of the Bank of Ghana in 2022, 2023, and 2024, when the NPP was in power,” he stated.

Ablakwa’s $20bn ORAL projection recovery places enormous pressure on me – AG

0

Dr Dominic Ayine, the Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, has said the ORAL Chairman and now Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, created unnecessary pressure on his office.

According to the Attorney General, Ablakwa’s $20 billion ORAL’s projection recovery places enormous pressure on him because Ghanaians now expect that amount to be delivered.

It will be recalled that on February 10, 2025, the ORAL team submitted their final report to President John Mahama, who has since directed the Attorney General for further actions.

The chairman of Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) and Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa revealed that with just 36 cases, Ghana can potentially recover $ 20.49 billion in stolen state resources.

Dr Ayine further detailed, “It could approach $20 billion if funds being pursued offshore are taken into account, because a lot of money was moved out of the country. But when it comes to what is currently in-country, the figures will depend on the specific cases under investigation.”

Meanwhile, Ellen Ama Daaku, an aide to former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has fired shots at the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to Ellen Ama Daaku, the ruling NDC government in opposition made so much noise about the Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) without evidence.

She asserted that after a year, the NDC government has failed to deliver on their promise to Ghanaians.

The NPP woman is quoted by GHOne TV to have said, “NDC made noise about ORAL without any evidence, after a year, they’ve not been able to prove anything”.

Serwaa Amihere has since been called out by netizens to apologise for her unwarranted statement.

Some netizens reacting to the viral video stated, “There’s definitely some truth to it. She just said what everyone is afraid to”.

A netizen added, “The breeding ground for homosexuality is the phone. The things people are watching on their. The series, cartoon movies all push an LGBTQ+ agenda.

The battle should not and cannot be won in the classroom. It’s won through controlling what can be seen by kids”.

“Is this really a lawyer. Chale! We need people who will uphold the profession. Speaking with no empirical facts”, one more X user added.

Additonally one more netizen added, “We can all call for her apology and act like she’s lying, but if your child dey boys’ school, the possibility of him being introduced into this is very high”.

In related news, the minority has called for the immediate dismissal of the Director-General of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), Professor Samuel Ofori Bekoe and the Board Chair of NaCCA.

According to the minority, NaCCA’s leadership had failed to prevent the inclusion of LGBT content, adding that the printing, distribution and recalling of the Year Two Physical Education and Health (Elective) Teacher Manual has caused financial losses for the state.

The minority asserted that the NaCCCA Director-General and Council’s leadership must be held accountable.

Speaking to the media on behalf of the Minority caucus on Thursday, January 15, Vincent Ekow Assafuah stated, “We demand the dismissal of the Director-General of NaCCA and the Chairman of the Board for failure of oversight and breach of public trust.

NaCCA is now telling us, assuming without admitting, that the document was developed by the NPP government in 2024. If you don’t believe in it, why go ahead to even print them in 2025?”

“That is causing financial loss to the state because these are manuals you have printed and distributed across the country,” he stressed.

Meanwhile, the  National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) has withdrawn printed copies of a Senior High School (SHS) teacher manual.

NaCCA has acknowledged that certain content on ‘Gender Identity’ in the Year 2 Physical Education and Health (Elective) Teacher Manual did not align with Ghanaian culture, norms, and values.

“It is not true that drivers have parked their vehicles to create an artificial shortage” – GPRTU

0

Abass Imoro, the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), has dismissed suggestions that its members are deliberately creating an artificial shortage to push up transport fares.

Speaking to Channel One TV’s Breakfast Daily on Friday, Abass Imoro stressed that the association drivers are fully operational across the country.

According to Abass Imoro, the current situation is being caused by traffic congestion rather than any coordinated effort by the drivers.

He detailed that the traffic congestion has been building since the Christmas period, which he says has continued into the first two weeks of 2026.

Abass Imoro stated, “Our drivers are working. It is not true that some of our people have parked their vehicles to create an artificial shortage”.

The GPRTU PRO remarks follow, Government Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu, who alleged that some commercial vehicle operators are engaging in rent-seeking behaviour.

He explained that some commercial vehicle operators are limiting vehicle availability to drive up fares.

Speaking at the Government Accountability Series on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, Felix Kwakye Ofosu stated, “The Transport Minister has informed me that he has requested a meeting with the GPRTU and other transport operators to address the issue of rent-seeking”.

“Some operators deliberately avoid designated stations and roam around in the hope that the artificial shortage they create will compel commuters to pay more than they should.”

He added, “After the persistent reduction in fuel prices, some operators have decided to engage in undue practices by creating artificial shortages,” he said. “It is an unlawful activity, and government is looking at it to ensure that those involved are dealt with.”

Meanwhile, Samuel Amoah, the Deputy Industrial and Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), has revealed that their task force will be hitting the streets to sanction drivers engaging in unlawful practices.

According to the GPRTU, they plan to work with the Police in arresting and imposing sanctions on drivers engaging in fare violations.

Speaking on Channel One Newsroom on Wednesday, January 14, Samuel Amoah stated, “We had a meeting today. We will be hitting the streets with our task force to ensure that if our vehicles are found engaging in such practices, we will cause their arrest and impose sanctions. We will be meeting the Transport Minister hopefully by Friday.

“We will be organising our union guards and request from the Minister to allow the police to come in. The MMDCEs will also come in. We will be standing at some vantage areas where we think most of these floating drivers park. It is there that we will find out those that are doing that. Those that are with the GPRTU, we will sanction them; those that are not, there are laws,” he said.

“I have gone to prison for that party, nobody can drive me out of the NPP” – Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe

0

Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a founder member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has said nobody can drive him out of the party.

According to Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, he has suffered for the NPP and even went to prison for the party.

Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe made this known while responding to claims questioning his status as a founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The NPP founding member described the claims as ridiculous.

Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Afternoon Ghana on Thursday, Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe stated, “I definitely would not like to comment on that because it doesn’t make sense. The facts are there. Even as an ordinary member, I have every right to talk when the party is going wrong.

He highlighted other founding figures, including DJ Od, Arama, and former defence ministers and stated, “Does it mean that if they didn’t sign that particular document, they are not founding members? That’s not serious at all.”

“Nobody can drive me out of NPP. I have suffered for that party, I have been to prison for it, and I will continue to speak my mind,” he asserted.

Also, speaking in an interview on TV3’s Ghana Tonight on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, Dr Nyaho Tamakloe hit back at the NPP’s Deputy General Secretary of the NPP, Haruna Mohammed, over claims he was never a founding member of the NPP.

According to Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe, Haruna Mohammed should shut up as he does not have time for ignorant people.

He recounted that Haruna Mohammed, some years ago, in a live interview, made similar claims, but he was vindicated when a party member who handled his founding membership document called in to clarify matters.

He stated, “When people are ignorant, I have no time for them.”

“I remember about a year or two ago, he made a similar claim when I was having a discussion, and he came on air.

“And a lady called in, a lady called Madam Acquaye, an elderly woman and then made it plain that she was then Secretary to the General Secretary and also worked for the then Chairman of the party, B.J Darocha, and she handled my founding membership document, myself and lawyer Koku Ziti. She mentioned the two of us,” he remarked.

Nyaho-Tamakloe noted, “So, whoever spoke when NPP was formed years ago, I don’t know where he was, and I don’t even know whether he has even had a relative at all in the party like some of the people that we know, so he should shut up”.

“If I am not a founding member of the party and I am even a street sweeper and I have sympathy for the party, I have every right to talk when the party is going wrong,” Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe stressed.

Arrest all slay queens, too, if asking for money is a crime – Lawyer in Abu Trica’s case speaks

0

Robert Ishmael Aggrey Amissah, lawyer for the second accused in the extradition case involving social media influencer Frederick Kumi, popularly known as Abu Trica, has said slay queens must also be arrested if asking for money is a crime.

According to the lawyer, the crime, ‘romance scam’, is not recognised in Ghana.

Speaking to the media after the court proceedings on January 13, 2026, Robert Ishmael Aggrey Amissah stated, “The reason they are coming after him is because of a romance scam”.

“But what is a romance scam? If both of us agree that we are in a relationship, and I ask for money, and you send it to me, how is that a crime? If that’s the case, then slay queens should also be arrested for collecting money from their men. Because there is no offence in that!”.

“Is there any law in Ghana called ‘romance scam’? That is a law for another country”, he added.

Also, after the proceedings in front of the media, they met Pontius Pilate in court.

The lawyer for the second accused likened the situation to the biblical analogy when Pontius Pilate washed his hands of the crucifixion of Jesus.

He stated, “Ghana’s legal system has been taken back 2000 years. We have come to meet Pontius Pilate in court. The state, per it own reason and volition, says that A2 and A3 they do not need desired to continue with them, so they should be discharged.

However, the Judge who was assigned to the matter today says that no, she is not going to discharge them, but defer that to the substantive Judge”.

“We have also filed additional applications to quash the entire process, as the illegality involved cannot be allowed,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Attorney-General has withdrawn charges against two of Abu Trica’s accomplices, Lord Eshun and Bernard Aidoo.

Lord Eshun and Bernard Aidoo were the second and third accused persons in the ongoing extradition proceedings against Abu Trica.

In a notice signed by the Deputy Attorney-General, Dr Justice Srem-Sai was addressed to the Registrar of the Gbese District Court.

According to the Office of the Attorney-General, the decision was taken pursuant to Section 59 of the Criminal and Other Offences (Procedure) Act, 1960 (Act 30).

The notice there by states that all charges brought against Lord Eshun and Bernard Aidoo had been withdrawn.

However, Abu Trica, the first accused in the case, remains before the court regarding his extradition proceedings.

Bawumia attracted 41% in 2024 election, a new candidate will be a lottery – Atta Akyea

0

Samuel Atta Akyea, a former Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, has warned the New Patriotic Party (NPP) against presenting a new presidential candidate for the 2028 elections.

Atta Akyea reminded the New Patriotic Party of Dr Bawumia’s performance in the 2024 elections, which he noted was in a difficult political environment.

According to Atta Akyea, internal assessments revealed Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was not a factor in the defeat, but rather voter fatigue after eight years in government.

Atta Akyea claimed that the ruling NDC would face challenges introducing a new candidate against Dr Bawumia, who he said already enjoys strong national recognition and credibility.

The former Abuakwa South MP warned that abandoning Dr Bawumia to present a new candidate would be a gamble for the NPP.

Speaking on Metro TV on Thursday, January 15, 2026,  Atta Akyea explained, “I am trying to show the arithmetic that when the situation was terribly bad, the persona of the man attracted him the 41 per cent that he got in the election. Common sense will suggest that we show him again,” he said.

“We have to lift him up again and then add about nine per cent to cross the 50 plus one mark. That is how we get him as president,” he stated.

“By the time the NDC brings a new candidate against Bawumia, who is already marketed and whose figures are in his favour, I am telling you there is nobody they will bring who will have the national appeal and the doctoral appeal more than Bawumia,” he added.

He added, “If we decide to start afresh with new people and allow the NDC to use propaganda against them, that will be a lottery the NPP should not get involved in”.

Also, the Member of Parliament for Bimbilla and former Defence Minister Dominic Nitiwul has said Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is going to win the NPP’s primaries.

Dominic Nitiwul claimed that the NPP has no time to market a new candidate as the party cannot risk a first timer for the 2028 elections.

Speaking on Joy News’ PM Express on Tuesday, Dominic Nitiwul stated, “We have no time to market a new candidate. I can tell you, in this election, Bawumia is going to win,” he said, adding that this conviction is rooted in experience and precedent.

“I can tell you for a fact that in this election [NPP primaries], Bawumia is going to win…just like Akufo-Addo won for a second time in 2010 and then for a third time in 2014, Bawumia is going to win. That is not to take away anything from another candidate, whether it’s Ken, Bryan, Adutwum or Kwabena Agyapong, it’s not to take anything away from that candidate,” he said.

He added, “All I can say is that it has been marketed enough. We don’t have time to market a new candidate. He has shown that he’s very competent, not corrupt, and there’s nothing to find about Bawumia anymore”.

“Whatever the NDC wants to say, they have said it already and the assessment Ghanaians have done it already. We don’t have the time to change all the billboards and change every other thing.”

Nitiwul  further stated, “Bawumia is going to be the candidate who is the second timer; all other candidates on the ballot in 2028, especially the major candidates, including the NDC, will be the second timer.”

“We cannot risk having our own candidate be a first timer. We can’t as an NPP, when you can get somebody who is the second time, and the person will win you the elections, we cannot risk it.”

“And the difficulty for NPP is that we will, we should never lose in 2028 because it will be disastrous for us.”

They attacked one of the customers who came to sell an item to us and was leaving in his car. They crossed him, blasted his car tyre and asked him to get down and open the boot of the car, and they took all the money we gave to him.

“It was the money we gave to the customer that they stole. They did not go into the shop. We gave him around GH¢6.2 million. We are going to sit with the customer to see how we are going to resolve the issue. Some of the money also belongs to other people,” he said in Twi.

Prof Frimpong-Boateng not in position to pronounce NPP as fake – Nana Akomea

0

Nana Akomea, a former Managing Director of the State Transport Company (STC), has fired back at Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng after he described the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as a “fake party.”

Speaking in an interview on UTV on January 15, 2026, Nana Akomea noted that Prof Frimpong-Boateng is not in a position to pronounce NPP as fake, as he does not know what is going on internally in the party.

According to Nana Akomea, Prof Frimpong-Boateng claimed not to know that the General Secretary of the NPP raises concerns about his commitment to party affairs.

Nana Akomea on UTV stated, “Professor Frimpong-Boateng did not speak well, and I pray that when he reflects on what he said, he will realise he spoke wrongly and come back to apologise. Who wouldn’t want Professor Frimpong-Boateng in his party?

“Yet he claims he does not even know the General Secretary of the party, who has been elected for about three years. If he doesn’t know him, then who is fake now? He is not in a position to make pronouncements about the party because he does not know what is going on within it,” he said.

Nana Akomea comments follow: Prof. Kwabena Frimpong Boateng described the present NPP as fake.

According to Prof Frimpong Boateng, he does not consider himself a member of the current NPP as it no longer reflects the values of the NPP of old.

Speaking on Channel One TV’s The Point of View on Monday, January 12, Prof Frimpong was questioned if he still sees himself as a member of the NPP. He stated, “The present NPP is not NPP. It is fake. From what I see now, this is not the NPP I used to know.”

“Not the fake one. The real one is there. It is a virtual thing. The members are in the background,” he said.

He further expressed deep concern about the NPP’s internal processes, citing the party’s last presidential primaries were he asserted that people were intimidated with delegates being bribe just to elect a flagbearer.

Prof Frimpong Boateng added, “Look at how they elected their last flagbearer — twisting weak people’s hands, bribing delegates, intimidating others to get a flagbearer. This is the beginning of corruption, and this should not be allowed in any serious institution or any serious party”.

“We lost the elections badly, and we did not deal with the issues that led to the losses, and we still want to go in there. I think that it will be a trainwreck if we elect the old flagbearer,” he stressed.

Meanwhile, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the General Secretary New Patriotic Party (NPP), in a statement, has announced that the party has initiated a move to sack Prof Frimpong Boateng.

The NPP, in a statement issued on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, described his claims as baseless and unsubstantiated allegations.

“False, misleading” – Esther Smith defends Alpha Hour Pastor over extortion allegations

Esther Smith, a multi-award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician, has jumped to the defence of the leader of Grace Mountain Ministry, Pastor Elvis Agyemang.

On January 16, 2026, Esther Smith, in a statement, dismissed claims made on social media which claimed the Alpha Hour Pastor demanded money in exchange for prayers.

Bongo Ideas had claimed that Esther Smith stated, “I was at Alpha Hour, and I was charged £300,000 for prayers against a threat on my life”.

However, the renowned musician denied the allegations, asserting that they are false, misleading and a distortion of facts, which are aimed at tarnishing the Alpha Hour pastor.

Esther Smith, in her statement on X, stated, “We have taken note of widely circulated reports and commentaries on social media suggesting that Pastor Elvis Agyemang of Alpha Hour demanded or received money in exchange for prayers. These claims are false, misleading, and a gross distortion of facts.

We wish to state unequivocally that during our engagement with Pastor Elvis Agyemang and the Alpha Hour team, we were treated with respect, dignity, and genuine pastoral care. At no point was any amount requested, demanded, or charged for prayers. On the contrary, adequate security and support were provided, and all interactions were conducted with professionalism and integrity.

Pastor Elvis Agyemang has demonstrated consistent character, accountability, and transparency, and he remains a leader who can be trusted. Any narratives portraying him otherwise are inaccurate and should be disregarded.

We therefore call on the general public, the Alpha Hour family, and fans of Esther Smith to disregard all speculation, sensational headlines, and misrepresentations currently circulating on social media. We urge media practitioners and bloggers to exercise responsibility, verify facts, and avoid publishing content that may mislead the public or damage reputations.

This statement is issued in the interest of truth, clarity, and peace”.

In the original audio, Esther Smith revealed that she received death threats from some people before her return to Ghana in December 2025.

She revealed that the person behind the threat messages demanded £300,000 to abandon the alleged job they were given.

Esther Smith further detailed that the number that messaged her threatening her was from Nigeria.

The Vertran gospel musician added that during her performance, she received protection from personnel in the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).

Speaking in an interview with PAAM TV UK on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, she stated, “I know my management will not say it, but I will. Before my return to Ghana, someone sent me messages threatening to harm me and demanding €300,000 to spare my life.”

So when I was walking at Alpha hour, I was being escorted by BNI. The person claimed they had been given a contract to kill me; the number was Nigerian”.

“Ken Ofori-Atta is an illegal alien from Ghana” – ICE

0

Ghana’s former Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, has been described by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)  as an illegal alien.

According to an ICE spokesperson, Ken Ofori-Atta is facing corruption and corruption-related charges in his home country.

ICE detailed that Ken Ofori-Atta entered the United States on May 28, 2025, on a visitor’s visa with an expiration date of November 27, 2025.

The ICE spokesperson responding to Tv3’s Joseph Ackah-Blay is quoted to have said, “Kenneth Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta is an illegal alien from Ghana who is facing corruption and corruption-related charges in his home country. He entered the United States on May 28, 2025, on a visitor’s visa with an expiration date of November 27, 2025. Ofori-Atta overstayed his permitted admission”.

“He has been issued a notice to appear and will remain in ICE custody. He will be given due process before a Justice Department immigration judge,” the spokesperson said.

“The Trump administration has been abundantly clear: aliens must respect our laws or face the consequences. Overstaying a visa is an immigration law violation that can result in deportation,” he added.

In related news, Victor Smith, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United States, has revealed that the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed former finance minister Ken Ofori-Atta was medically fit to be detained.

According to Victor Smith, ICE had medical personnel assess Mr Ofori-Atta to show that he was fit to be detained.

Speaking on Joy News’ PM Express, Ghana’s US Envoy explained, “Yes, the ICE people confirm that he was all right. Initially, they had medical people to determine whether he was fit to be held in the detention centre, and they were convinced and were assured that he was okay”.

“He was on medication, but he wasn’t seeing any doctor at the time, and he had his medication, so he could be put in the detention centre. They had caused him to be assessed by the medical personnel, not themselves,” he said.

“If he had any serious medical conditions, maybe they would have referred him to a medical facility outside the detention centre,” he added.

Victor Smith further revealed that the Ghana embassy made efforts to see Ofori-Atta, but he refused to see them.

He detailed, “I discussed it with the consular officers of my embassy, and we decided to make a request to make sure that he was being treated properly, as per international protocols,” he said.

“Just before we set out, the ICE agents came again and said the detainee had refused to meet with us without his lawyers. After about a few hours, they came back to us to say the detainee, being the ex minister, had refused now to see us under any circumstances,” he said.

“The ICE agents came here. The representative came to my office,” he said.

“We’re a bit of a disappointment, because I know Ken personally. He may not be my friend, but I know him personally,” he said.

“Being a Ghanaian and being our responsibility, so to speak, in a host country, I felt that if we had had the opportunity to at least hear about, if he had some concerns for us, to probably try and assist. So shutting the door in our face and not wanting to see us under any circumstances was a bit unfortunate,” he said.

The extradition proceedings have taken place in the US, and we’re expecting that barring any appeal by her lawyers, she may be very soon extradited to Ghana to serve her prison term”.

“I don’t have any definitive information on when she will be extradited, but the Americans have indicated that they’ve completed the process,” he said.

He added, “When I took over, I wrote to the people in charge of the buses in Kumasi, and approval has been granted for us to add the 60 buses there to the ones we have in Accra”.

Meanwhile, in court some days ago, the substitute judge at the District Court refused to discharge and release 2 of the 3 suspects despite the State’s decision to withdraw charges.

The State, which is the Attorney General, had filed to discontinue the case against Lord Eshun and Bernard Aidoo, two associates of Frederick Kumi, widely known as Abu Trica, who were arrested along with him.

Oliver Barker-Vormawor, a lawyer for Abu Trica, who shared the news on X, revealed that after the Attorney-General filed the suit at the High Court to strike out the case, the substitute judge at the District Court refused to discharge and release 2 of the 3 arrested.

In his post on X, he wrote, “I just left the court in the Abu Trica matter.

The Attorney-General, after our filings in the High Court for the case to be struck out, today asked the District Court to discharge and release 2 of the 3 arrested”.

“The substitute Magistrate says no, she won’t do it. Then says “this cup will pass me by”. Adjourns it, and says we should wait for the main judge to come back on 3rd February.

I swear I for lef Ghana! Because “me ka kyerɛ broni kraa ɔngyendi.”

Robert Ishmael Aggrey Amissah, lawyer for the second accused in the extradition case involving social media influencer Frederick Kumi, popularly known as Abu Trica, after the proceedings to the media, they met Pontius Pilate in court.

According to reports, the suspect, identified as Coffie Agyemang, a resident of Kwamang in the Eastern Region, had custody of the child after separating from the boy’s mother when the child was around 1 year old. Due to severe financial difficulties and because he wanted money to marry his newfound love, he confided in a friend about his intention to sell the child. The friend alerted the police, who launched an intelligence-led operation.

Officers placed the suspect under surveillance, posed as prospective buyers in an undercover sting, negotiated with him, and allegedly agreed on a price of GH¢1 million. Reports indicate that his plan was to sell the boy to individuals he believed were ritúalists, who would k!ll the child and hárvést bódy párts, after which they would return the remains to him so he could present them as evidence that his son had been múrdêred.

He was arrested during the arranged transaction. The 3-year-old boy is now in protective custody, and the suspect is assisting with investigations”.

Meanwhile, the young father arrested has been identified as Coffie Agyemang for allegedly attempting to sell his three-year-old son.

In a viral video shared on X  by Prime Rakon on January 13, 2026, Coffie Agyemang was shown in the video in handcuffs being escorted to the police station following his arrest.

His three-year-old son was also seen in the video walking with one Police officer.

In the video, Akwatia TV narrated that the suspect, Coffie Agyemang, a resident of Kwamang, was arrested by the police after allegedly attempting to sell his son for GH¢1 million.

Ken Agyapong best candidate to lead the NPP – Abena Osei-Asare

0

Abena Osei-Asare, the former Deputy Finance Minister, has explained why she is supporting the former Assin Central MP Ken Agyapong as the next flagbearer of the NPP.

According to Abena Osei-Asare, Kennedy Agyapong is the best candidate to lead the NPP in the next general elections.

She stated that Kennedy Agyapong is a well-known businessman who can create numerous job opportunities for the youth, owing to the industrial expertise he has gained from managing several companies.

Abena Osei Asare, who also serves as Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament, the NPP needs somebody who can bring back discipline into the party.

Speaking in an interview on Good Evening Ghana on January 13, 2026, Abena Osei-Asare explained, “Currently, the sentiments around the country are that they want someone who is very pragmatic, one who says it as it is, someone who can bring discipline to our party. Because personally, I feel that the discipline level in our party has gone down.

“In every party, there are structures; there are systems. Many times of late, you see that the systems, the structures, are not working as they’re supposed to work… Everybody stands for something, and for him, he stands for being honest about the way he feels about everything… his old demeanour also instils discipline. He stands for discipline,” she said.

She added, “Clearly, when you look at the pattern of voting in this country now, the youth form a chunk of it and they, for one reason or the other, don’t stick to one party per se. They look at the sentiment. They look at what is going on currently. What do they want? They want jobs.

“This is a person going around talking about jobs, opening our eyes to the various opportunities that one can have,” she said.

Meanwhile, Apostle Ray has warned NPP delegates planning to vote for Ken Agyapong as the party’s flagbearer for the 2028 elections.

The man of God cautioned the NPP delegates that anyone who votes for Ken Agyapong and he wins will regret it.

According to Apostle Ray, he is against Ken Agyepong because he’s against the church of God.

Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Afternoon Ghana, Apostle General Ray, stated, ”I am against somebody winning. I’m against Ken Agyepong winning because he’s against the church of God. His standard of measure is wrong; you can tell me that someone speaking in tongues is a fool.

I speak in tongues so immediately, you have classified me as somebody. When we say somebody is against the church, you listen to what the person says, you saw what he did in some people’s minds, you are happy he is fighting false prophets but the thing is that the false prophets that you are fighting your standard cut across to genuine prophets.

Because one of his standards for a false prophet is somebody who prophecies. He literally said that people going to church is a problem on weekdays”.

When asked if he is praying against him to win, Apostle General Ray stated, “I am praying, and I am believing God will not… I am an Apostle, I am not a prophet”.

“Those who are going to vote for Ken Agyapong are going to regret it if they vote for him to win”.

Nana Addo wanted to become a footballer – Sister reveals

0

The younger sister of former President Nana Addo has said his brother wanted to become a footballer growing up.

Marigold Akufo-Addo further recounted that Nana Addo wanted to become a footballer, but he was not allowed.

Speaking with Kafui Dey, she stated, “I remember one holiday,  we came back, and he went to join Ohene Djan, he was in charge of all the footballers, young and old. They used to go to some small stadium for some reason, he was popular there; they called him Bob negro so he wanted to be a footballer at that time and they had to stop that because the footballers where not learning, if he were born today they would have allowed him but then it was a taboo because you are coming to break your leg and leave half way and mess up your future”.

She further asserted that Nana Addo and the late Jerry John Rawlings controlled the streets with their charm before they became president.

Marigold Akufo-Addo highlighted that Jerry John Rawlings, in his youth, was already charismatic.

She drew triking parallel between a young Jerry John Rawlings and her brother, Nana Akufo-Addo charisma, crowds and a presence you couldn’t ignore.

Marigold Akufo-Addo, when asked if she could tell her big brother Akufo-Addo was going to be president one, stated “Yes and No, he had a great street following when he was little, there was something”

“I remember telling my father someday that JJ Rawlings used to come to GIS; I did not know he was not schooling there, he used to come and visit two young men who were there”.

Marigold Akufo-Addo added, “This young man will not even move from under the tree. Everybody will be calling him, Jerry John, Jerry John. If I call one of these characters who are now living in Korea somewhere, do you remember so and so? They might say no, but do you remember Jerry John? They will say yes.

So I told my father, and he said young children like that, you’ve got to take good care of them, what he said was that they are charismatic. He said young men who draw crowds like how Nana Addo was drawing and how Jerry was being spoken about, without you knowing him, you have to nurture them well”.

She added, “Even if they don’t sit on the seat per say they will be influencing a lot of people. So from that point of view, Nana Addo was already charismatic because he went to a boys’ school, my father’s car in those days, an Aston Martin or something, everybody knew it around the area, and they used to say it was Nana Addo’s car, he knew all the characters in the street.

Some Ghanaians reacting to her comparison stated, “ Please don’t mention JJ and Nana Ado in the same statement when talking of charisma. Nana Ado has no charisma. He’s a big-time fraud”.

A netizen added, “See how, as she mentioned, Aston Martin I just dey smile like mumu”.

“Massa… your brother for what we saw was a wicked old fool. He fooled us into getting to power.. But I bet he was the biggest fool as of Dec 2024”, a netizen added.

One more X user added, “Massa… your brother for what we saw was a wicked old fool. He fooled us to get to power.. but I bet he was the biggest fool as at Dec 2024”.

Gov’t places order for supply of four helicopters – Airbus

0

Aircraft manufacturer Airbus has announced that the government of Ghana has placed an order for multi-mission Airbus helicopters.

On Thursday, Airbus Helicopters announced that it had secured a contract from Ghana’s Ministry of Defence for the supply of four helicopters.

They identified the helicopters as two H175Ms, one ACH175, and one ACH160.

“Airbus revealed that under the agreement, two H175Ms will be deployed as multi-mission helicopters to support transport, search and rescue operations, emergency medical services, and disaster relief.

The ACH175 and ACH160 will be used primarily for transport duties”, citinews stated.

Arnaud Montalvo, Head of Africa and the Middle East Region for Airbus Helicopters stated, “The commitment from Ghana marks the return of Airbus Helicopters to the country with a defined focus on customer support and partnership”.

“We are particularly excited that the H175M will be operated in Ghana, demonstrating the aircraft’s versatility across defence and security missions. This key deal also makes Ghana a leading customer in West Africa for our premium corporate helicopters, the ACH160 and ACH175,” Mr. Montalvo added.

It will be recalled that Finance Minister Ato Forson announced that the government will commence the procurement of four helicopters and two aircraft for the Ghana Air Force.

Presenting the 2026 Budget Statement to Parliament on Thursday, November 13, 2025, Mr Forson stated, “The Ghana Air Force will be retooled. Beginning in 2026, the Government of Ghana will initiate procurement processes for the acquisition of four modern helicopters, one long-range aircraft, and one medium-range aircraft. These are expected to be delivered within four years, provided the procurement is finalised in 2026”.

“In 2026, the government will procure two 72-meter Offshore Patrol Vessels equipped with helipads and combat systems. These vessels will enable the Navy to conduct long-endurance patrols, safeguard the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), prevent maritime crimes, protect critical offshore infrastructure, and support bunkering and oil field security operations,” he noted.

The news comes following Captain Paul Forjoe, a member of the investigative committee probing the tragic military helicopter crash on August 6, who has revealed that the crash report recommends that the Ghana Armed Forces acquire modern helicopters and a training simulator.

According to the investigative committee report, the Air Force must invest in simulators for recurrent pilot training.

He further added that Ghana contracts certified aviation weather providers and develops en route navigational aids, especially in remote areas.

Speaking during the official presentation of the findings, Captain Forjoe detailed, “We have recommended that the Air Force acquire modern aircraft with terrain avoidance warning systems and modern navigation systems”.

“The aircraft should also have cockpit voice recorders and flight data recorders, which are the audio-visual capable types.”

Immediately dismiss NaCCA DG and Board Chair – Minority demands over LGBTQ content

0

The Minority in Parliament, led by Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, Vincent Ekow Assafuah, has called for the immediate dismissal of the Director-General of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), Professor Samuel Ofori Bekoe and the Board Chair of NaCCA.

According to the minority, NaCCA’s leadership had failed to prevent the inclusion of the content, adding that the printing, distribution and recalling of the Year Two Physical Education and Health (Elective) Teacher Manual has caused financial losses for the state.

A revised version, reflecting national values and biological understanding, has now been released.

According to NaCCA, all teachers in possession of hard copies of the SHS Physical Education & Health teachers’ manual to return them immediately

Speaking on Adom News on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the Chairman of the NaCCA Board, Prof Vincent Assanful explained, “In the review process, we should have flagged that definition. We are undertaking some changes in the curriculum. I have instructed my Director-General that they should issue a statement to clarify and to make a point that that bit, and in fact it is not only that bit, the whole section of the definition of terms, but we will have to have a second look at that section.

“I am working on it, and I assure teachers, well-meaning Ghanaians and parents that that aspect in the review of the curriculum we will work on it,” he stated.

He added, “It was brought to my attention this morning, and honestly, I didn’t understand it well. So, I forwarded it to the Deputy Director in charge of Technical Services, who oversees curriculum development. He confirmed to me that indeed the document is from us so in terms of its authenticity, it is an authentic document which originated from us”.

“I drew the Deputy Director’s attention to the definition. It is obvious that during the preparation of the document, a subject expert reviewed it. He said he would contact the subject expert and find out how come that definition came into the document.

“He has communicated the expert’s response, but I am not convinced. I have engaged the Director-General as well, Prof. Bekoe,” he noted.

“When NPP was in power, I used to give NDC MPs rice, but today they don’t pick my calls” – Okyere Baafi

0

Michael Okyere Baafi, a Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, has said that when the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was in government, he used to buy bags of rice for NDC MPs.

According to Okyere Baafi, today, with the NDC now in government, when he calls his colleagues, NDC MPs, they don’t even pick up his calls.

The New Juaben South MP stressed that MPs interact cordially with him in the chamber, but their conduct outside the chamber tells a different story.

He cautioned the NDC MPs that being in power does not diminish the relevance of those in opposition, urging them to be mindful of their actions.

Okyere Baafi, however, asserted that what he is experiencing has been an eye-opener, adding that he would be more guarded in his future engagements.

Speaking in an interview on Wontumi TV on 14 January 2026, Okyere Baafi explained, “You see, we are all in Parliament, and we face the same issues. Sometimes you think that if you have something today, you should help others so that tomorrow, when you are also in need, they can help you, but after they returned to power, they don’t mind anybody”.

“I told one of their frontbench members that I used to pack rice and send it to his hometown. All three frontbench members of the NDC are my friends, and whenever I sent the rice, I shared it among all of them,” he said.

He added, “But today, now that they are in power, when you call them, they don’t mind you. Sometimes it’s not even about money; they just don’t mind you. Yet when they see you in Parliament, they pretend everything is fine.”

Also, Michael Okyere Baafi, in that same interview, spoke on an alleged plot to oust Afenyo-Markin as Minority Leader.

According to Okyere Baafi, no position in Parliament is permanent; he, however, noted that there are no discussions or indications of an agenda to oust the minority leader.

The MP highlighted that the minority is united and is working together, and there are no plans to undermine or replace Afenyo-Markin.

Michael Okyere Baafi stated, “I don’t believe that anybody wants to remove Afenyo-Markin for now, even though no position in Parliament is permanent”.

“The party can decide at any time for someone else to take up the position, but as things stand now, I am not aware of anyone scheming or aiming for his seat. We don’t have any animosity among us.”

“For now, I don’t foresee anything like that happening,” he added.

Ebo Noah granted GH₵100,000 bail with two sureties

0

Self-acclaimed prophet Evans Eshun, commonly known as Ebo Noah, has been granted a GH₵100,000 bail with two sureties.

The Adentan Circuit Court granted Ebo Noah a GH₵100,000 bail with two sureties, one to be secured with a landed property or a Vehicle.

Emmanuel Sarfo, Ebo Noah’s lawyer, revealed that the case has been adjourned to March 18, 2026.

It will be recalled that Ebo Noah was arrested by the GPS Special Cyber Vetting Team on December 31, 2025, after his viral video claiming God would destroy the world with a flood on December 25, 2025.

Ebo Noah is facing charges of false communication, deliberately misleading the public, and publishing false news intended to cause fear and panic.

Also, the Director of the Special Investigations Unit at the CID Headquarters, Chief Superintendent Seth Sewornu, had earlier confirmed the arrest of viral doomsday prophet, Ebo Noah, over charges relating to his doomsday conspiracy.

He noted that the self-acclaimed content creator will be brought before a law court today on charges of false communication, intentionally misleading the public and the publication of false news with the intent to cause fear and panic.

In his last court appearance,  Ebo Noah was remanded into police custody for two weeks, following the adjournment of court proceedings at the Adentan Circuit Court.

The court has also ordered a psychiatric evaluation of the suspect at the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital, before his next appearance in court.

Meanwhile, the mother of Ebo Noah has appealed to President John Mahama, the Asantehene and other Ghanaian citizens to help secure the release of her son.

Speaking in a viral video shared by SIKAOFFICIAL, Ebo Noah’s mum, on her knees, noted that her son was wrong with what he did and begged for mercy.

In the viral video, she stated, “I am calling on the President, John Dramani Mahama; the former President, Nana Akufo-Addo; the IGP, Christian Yohuno; Otumfuo Osei Tutu II; and Nana Ama McBrown to help my son. That is the only thing a mother can do for her child. Please help him”.

“My son has no ark. He can’t even afford a single boat, let alone own an ark.

“He is not crazy. Ebo was only influenced by pressure online to also earn something for himself. This is a great financial burden to us. We do not have the money. My son is not mad. I think he got carried away by social media since that is where he makes some money. As a mother, I am pleading with all distinguished Ghanaians to have mercy on my son. I beg you”, she added.

He also commended Metro Mass Transit for making buses available.

Meanwhile, Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, has announced that the Transport Minister,  Joseph Bukari Nikpe, will meet the GPRTU and other commercial transport operators over the ongoing public transportation crisis in Accra.

The revelation comes amid passengers facing long queues and inflated fares, particularly during peak hours.

Speaking at the Government Accountability Series on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, Felix Kwakye Ofosu noted that some commercial vehicle operators are engaging in rent-seeking behaviour.

He explained that some commercial vehicle operators are limiting vehicle availability to drive up fares.

Felix Kwakye Ofosu stated, “The Transport Minister has informed me that he has requested a meeting with the GPRTU and other transport operators to address the issue of rent-seeking”.

Also, a video has surfaced of the Aayalolo’s BRT buses left to rot amid the ongoing public transportation crisis in Accra.

In the viral video, the Aayalolo’s BRT buses have been left abandoned at the  Achimota New Station Aayalolo yard, rusting away.

TV3’s Christian Yalley in the viral video narrated that some of the buses’ tyres have been removed, and are just stationary, adding that some of the buses are entirely grounded.

He highlighted that they were not allowed to go and film inside the buses to see the exact defect of the buses, adding that the buses have been grounded for years.

“Prices have reduce but drivers are cutting our heads” –  Woman cries out calling on Mahama and GPRTU

0

A woman residing in Taifa in the Ga East municipality has cried out, calling on President John Mahama and the GPRTU, following transport operators charging exorbitant prices.

The woman asserted that prices have indeed reduce but drivers are ‘cutting the heads’ of passengers by charging double the normal fare price.

Speaking in a viral video, the woman stated, “GPRTU Leadership, something is disturbing me. I live in Taifa and work in Accra. When I come to work, I board four cars, even with that they don’t take the normal fare, the drivers charge double the fare.

We beg, we are asking, is there no leadership in this country? What drivers and their mates are doing to us is very painful. If care is not taken, people are going to die in this country, we are begging”.

She further added, “We are pleading with you, President John Mahama, rise up, prices have reduce but drivers are cutting our head what they are doing to us is painful”.

Additionally, Abass Imoro, the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), has told passengers to resist paying fares above the approved rates.

The GPRTU PRO highlighted that any unofficial increase by drivers is illegal and punishable under the law.

He stressed that both operators and passengers must strictly adhere to fare regulations.

Also, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister of State in charge of Government Communication, has alleged that there is a deliberate attempt by some operators to create artificial scarcity of vehicles to charge passengers high prices.

He highlighted that they were not allowed to go and film inside the buses to see the exact defect of the buses, adding that the buses have been grounded for years.

In related news, Awudu Dawuda, the Acting Managing Director of the Greater Accra Passenger Transport Executive (GAPTE), has revealed that only 80 out of the 245 Ayalolo buses procured by the government in 2016 are currently operating in Accra.

He explained that when he took over, 60 of the buses were packed because they were broken down, adding that they were repaired to get them back on the road.

Speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show on Thursday, January 15, 2026, Awudu Dawuda stated, “When it comes to urban mobility, we are all aware that it is important for the growth of any economy, especially when we are seeking to get more buses into the system”.

“When I took over, we were left with only 80 buses out of the 245 buses that the government procured in 2016. The buses were procured to operate within Accra alone, but 60 were taken to Kumasi, 10 to Takoradi, and another 10 to Tamale at the behest of the then Ministry of Transport,” he explained.

He added, “When I took over, I wrote to the people in charge of the buses in Kumasi, and approval has been granted for us to add the 60 buses there to the ones we have in Accra”.

“Close to 60 of the buses were packed because they were broken down. What we did was to repair them through our own means to get them back on the road,” he added.

Watch Ebo Noah arrive at the Adentan Circuit Court

0

A video of Self-acclaimed prophet Evans Eshun, commonly known as Ebo Noah, making another appearance at the Adentan Circuit Court has surfaced on social media.

In the viral video, Ebo Noah was spotted in handcuffs in the presence of some security personnel, being taken to the Adentan Circuit Court.

Ebo Noah, in a nose mask and a T-shirt, bowed his head as he attempted to evade bloggers gathered at the court from capturing his face.

“America used us and dumped us” – Barker-Vormawor reacts to US visa processing suspension

Oliver Barker-Vormawor, a social activist and private legal practitioner, has said the United States is a bully that is never satisfied.

According to Oliver Barker-Vormawor, the US used Ghana and dumped us concerning Ghana accepting West African nationals deported by the American government.

Barker-Vormawor comments follows, the Trump administration announcing that the United States is temporarily halting immigrant visa processing for Ghana, Nigeria and 73 other countries.

According to the U.S. State Department, the move takes effect January 21 and will remain in place indefinitely.

They highlighted that consular officers will reassess how visa applicants are evaluated to determine whether they may become overly dependent on U.S. public welfare systems.

Tommy Piggott, a spokesperson for the State Department, stated the move is intended to protect U.S. public resources.

“The State Department will use its long-standing authority to deem ineligible potential immigrants who would become a public charge on the United States and exploit the generosity of the American people,” Piggott told Fox News.

“Immigration from these 75 countries will be paused while the State Department reassesses immigration processing procedures to prevent the entry of foreign nationals who would take welfare and public benefits.”

Reacting to the development on X, Oliver Barker-Vormawor tagged America as a ‘bully that is never satisfied’

He called on the government of Ghana to impose reciprocal bans and also review its military agreement with the US.

He wrote, “America is a bully that is never satisfied.

They used us and dumped us in that bogus deportees deal.

Now that they got what they wanted, they have reimposed an even more aggressive visa ban on Ghana.

The correct response now for us is to impose reciprocal bans; and threaten a review of the military agreement”.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Victor Smith, Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States, has clarified that the United States is only halting immigrant visas.

Ghana’s Ambassador to the US clarified that business or tourism visas, known as B1-B2 visas, remain unaffected by the temporary suspension.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, January 15, 2026, Ghana’s Ambassador to US Victor Smith explained that the directive applies strictly to immigrant visas.

A forklift operator at the Tema Harbour has been arrested following an alleged attempt to steal steel coils during offloading from a ship.

The forklift operator, according to reports, was arrested by personnel of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority.

Reports suggest he was arrested after two steel coils were found in an isolated area in the yard.

The news shared by SIKAOFFICIAL on X stated, “Personnel of the Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority have reportedly arrested a forklift operator at the Tema Harbour, following an alleged attempt to steal steel coils during offloading from a ship.

The suspect was reportedly apprehended after two of the steel coils were found in a secluded area in the yard, prompting suspicions of theft”.

In the viral video, a narrator showing the isolated steel coil that the forklift operator attempted to steal stated, “Every day they claim it’s drivers who have been stealing from the yard, this one is an operator who stole them. We just caught him right now, this year. If you are a criminal, we are going to catch you at the harbour”.

In related port news, the Ghana Customs officials have intercepted a massive consignment of suspected illicit drugs concealed at the Takoradi Port.

According to reports, following an intelligence-led operation at the Atlantic Terminal Services Limited terminal, the Ghana Customs officials intercepted two 40-foot containers declared to contain ceiling fans.

Walter Blankson, the Sector Commander for Takoradi, ordered the containers to be placed under tight surveillance after officers detected unusual packaging patterns.

Representatives from the Narcotics Control Commission, National Security, and the National Intelligence Bureau were further called to for the inspection.

This led to the discovery of an estimated 25 million tablets of suspected illicit Tapentadol and Timaking drugs concealed among cartons of ceiling fans and undeclared electrical appliances.

The declarant, Maxwell Boateng, is currently being held by the Narcotics Control Commission.

Also, the estimated 25 million tablets were seized and taken to the State Warehouse in Takoradi, with samples taken by the Customs Chemist for laboratory analysis.

“We caught you red-handed, you are insulting us” – Ntim Fordjour fires back at Kwakye Ofosu

0

Rev John Ntim Fordjour, the Member of Parliament for Assin South, has fired back at Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, after he labelled him as “overzealous” and prone to getting “carried away” in his advocacy work.

According to Ntim Fordjour, the Mahama government have been caught red-handed trying to smuggled LGBTQ agenda into the curriculum, but they are now insulting them for asking questions.

He highlighted that Felix Kwakye Ofosu is displaying “arrogance of power.”

The back and forth between the two MPs follows, Rev John Ntim Fordjour, who accused the John Mahama-led NDC government of mischievously and deliberately smuggled LGBTQ agenda into the curriculum.

In a post on his official X page on Tuesday, January 13, Rev Ntim Fordjour accused the government of printing and distributing teacher manuals and other teaching and learning materials (TLMs) that promote LGBTQ-related content in schools.

Speaking in a TV3 interview on January 14, 2026, Ntim Fordjour stated, “That is most arrogant. You have voted to come to power, and the parents who voted for you, whose child you have introduced LGBT elements into their teaching and learning materials, teacher manuals… you are poisoning their minds”.

“They are being taught that they can have sexual pleasures and feelings very absurd, and gender should no longer be about male or female, and it’s about whatever they feel, and they can even feel both,” he claimed.

He added, “We have caught you red-handed and asking you to do the right thing. You are insulting us that we have been overzealous and we are being carried away”.

“The millions of parents who voted for you, whose children are in these secondary schools, whose taxpayers’ money they used to pay you, you are using the taxpayers’ money to pay yourself and to print textbooks that are LGBT-laced and poisoned,” he alleged.

Ntim Fordjour further stated, “You have admitted you are going to find a way to remove it, and you are telling these parents that they’re overzealous and they are carried away. That is the arrogance of power. This is the most arrogant height that a government can ever express. Whatever they teach them in school is dangerous to remove it because if you’re a parent, what you tell your children pretty much will be compared with what their teachers tell them. It doesn’t matter whatever you preach your congregation… What they are taught in school carries greater weight,” he added.

Ntim Fordjour’s remarks come on the heels of Kwakye Ofosu, who fired him for being overzealous and prone to getting carried away in his advocacy.

The Minister highlighted that the Government of Ghana is not about to promote anything that is at variance with Ghanaian culture in the school curriculum.

Speaking during the Government Accountability Series on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, Kwakye Ofosu, “Reverend Ntim Fordjour is a good friend of mine. He’s my neighbour. When you move out of AAK [Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese], you go into his constituency, so I have quite healthy relations with him, but I think that sometimes he gets carried away in his advocacy. I have a friend who describes that conduct as overzealous charlatanism,” he said.

“He was in government when the comprehensive education curricula were introduced, and we had similar happenings where there were things in there that we found distasteful and at variance with Ghanaian cultural norms and practices,” he said.

Kwakye Ofosu indicated, “There was some public outcry, and I think that curricula were withdrawn even before Rev Ntim Fordjour went out to make these claims”.

“The NaCCA itself had withdrawn about 700 or so copies of the manual. It’s an instruction manual for teachers of physical education and health in Senior High Schools. I think there’s just one line about the description of gender which proved problematic and offensive to the sensibilities of the people of Ghana,” he said.

Kwakye Ofosu added, “That has subsequently been withdrawn. Indeed, I have been sent a copy of the approved manual by NACCA, and it does not contain the offending works. So, that matter has been addressed.”

“Government certainly is not about to promote anything that is at variance with Ghanaian culture. So, whereas we welcome scrutiny, it’s important that such claims are toned down. It is not something that we should encourage. It is not necessary to attempt to put what is not there in place. It doesn’t help anybody”.

“Clearly, this would be a slip or that somebody was not paying too much attention, but it is not government policy to promote conduct that is at variance with Ghanaian culture, and that is NaCCA has taken remedial action, and the matter stands resolved,” he stated.

“What do you mean by I should go slowly?” – Judge rejects Gifty Oware’s lawyer’s plea to slow down proceedings

0

Justice Audrey Kocuvi-Tay, an Accra High Court judge presiding over the case of former Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Authority, Gifty Oware-Mensah, has rejected a request to slow down proceedings.

Gary Nimako Marfo, the lawyer for Gifty Oware, pleaded with the court to delay the commencement of her trial to allow more time to address pre-trial issues.

He made this plea following the Director of Public Prosecution, Yvonne Atakora Obuobisa, informing the court of the prosecution’s intention to make adjustments to the figures in the charge sheet.

The presiding judge, however unhappy with the approach, stated that the proposed amendments would not stop the court from fixing a date for the trial to begin.

The Judge stated, “If I were you, I would have asked one of my colleagues to quickly do that and serve them now because they [counsel for the accused] are here”.

Lawyers for embattled Oware-Mensah saw an opportunity to request that the court allow more time for the amendments to be completed and served before a trial date is fixed.

Gary Nimako Marfo stated, “My Lady, let the prosecution amend the charge sheet as she has informed the court before setting a date for the trial. Without that, it is obvious we cannot do anything,” he said, before adding, “My Lady, please go slowly.”

Justice Kocuvi-Tay immediately ordered defence counsel to withdraw their statement, saying, “What do you mean by I should go slowly? Withdraw that statement. I am here to work”.

The presiding subsequently fixed January 22, 2026, as the date for the start of the trial, with the case adjourned to January 20, 2026.

Background

Mrs Oware-Mensah has been accused of causing a financial loss of over GH¢38 million to the state.

In court, Gifty Oware-Mensah pleaded not guilty to five charges levelled against her by the Attorney General.

The former NSA Deputy Executive Director pleaded not guilty to five charges, including stealing and money laundering, in the ₵38 million ghost names scandal.

The Attorney-General’s Department alleged Gifty Oware-Mensah misappropriated a total of GH¢38,458,248.87 between February 2022 and March 2024, overseeing finance, audit, and procurement at the NSA.

According to prosecutors, she dishonestly transferred GH¢31.5 million from a loan facility meant to support National Service Personnel into her private company accounts.

The said money was under the pretext of supplying goods on a hire-purchase basis; however, investigation revealed no such goods were supplied, and the names used to secure the loan were ghost names from the NSA’s internal system.

AG also alleged, “Out of the money received, the accused transferred GH¢22,925,518,69 to Amaecom Global Company of which she was a director, and the remaining amount to three other companies.”

Gifty Oware-Mensah’s charges include “Stealing GH¢31,502,091.40 belonging to the National Service Authority. Willfully causing financial loss to the state through the fake hire-purchase arrangement, Abuse of public office for personal gain and Money laundering through the transfer of funds into personal and affiliated accounts”.

We demand the immediate recall of all the Teacher Manuals and Textbooks propagating the NDCs LGBTQ agenda, both online and in print, from schools. We further demand a review of all portions of TLMs poisoned with the LGBTQ agenda with immediate effect to sanitise the curriculum. We strongly caution the government to refrain from using NaCCA and the Ministry of Education to propagate this vile and evil agenda of LGBTQ sexuality education.

This diabolical and dangerous agenda, among others, reveals why this government has suppressed the private members’ bill: Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill from being listed in the Order Paper for consideration and consequential passage by Parliament.

Let us rise up to resist NDC LGBTQ agenda!”, Rev Ntim Fordjour added.

“No position in Parliament is permanent” – Okyere Baafi speaks on alleged plot to oust Minority Leader

0

Michael Okyere Baafi, the Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, has spoken about the alleged plot to oust Afenyo-Markin as Minority Leader.

According to Okyere Baafi, no position in Parliament is permanent; he, however, noted that there are no discussions or indications of an agenda to oust the minority leader.

The MP highlighted that the minority is united and is working together, and there are no plans to undermine or replace Afenyo-Markin.

Speaking in an interview on Wontumi TV on 14 January 2026, Michael Okyere Baafi stated, “I don’t believe that anybody wants to remove Afenyo-Markin for now, even though no position in Parliament is permanent”.

“The party can decide at any time for someone else to take up the position, but as things stand now, I am not aware of anyone scheming or aiming for his seat. We don’t have any animosity among us.”

“For now, I don’t foresee anything like that happening,” he added.

In related news, Kennedy Agyapong, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful, has publicly told the Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, to step down as minority leader.

According to Kennedy Agyapong, there is internal jostling to oust Afenyo-Markin as minority leader.

He revealed that some persons within the NPP believe the Minority Leader should come from the Eastern Region or the Ashanti Region.

Kennedy Agyapong further added that he has already told the minority leader to leave the position for them.

Speaking in an interview on UTV on December 15, Kennedy Agyapong stated, “He is well-to-do, so he should leave the position for those who are fighting him”.

“Those criticising Alexander Afenyo-Markin’s leadership want positions. Some people are arguing that the Minority Leader should come from the Eastern Region or the Ashanti Region. I have told him to leave the position for them, and I have personally called him to tell him to step aside.”

“If it were in the olden days, I would have mentioned all those seeking his position’s names, but now I won’t. He can eat for the rest of his life, and it shouldn’t look like being an MP is the only way to survive,” Agyapong stated.

Meanwhile, veteran broadcaster Kwesi Pratt has claimed there have been attempts to remove Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin from his position as Minority Leader in Parliament.

According to Kwesi Pratt, Afenyo-Markin is not sitting pretty as a minority leader in parliament.

He highlighted that Patrick Yaw Boamah confirmed this on Asempa FM’s “Ekosii Sen” programme on Monday, November 17, 2025.

“NPP in the hands of looters” – Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe

0

A founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe, has said the party is now in the hands of looters.

According to Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe, if the NPP dares expel Prof Frimpong Boateng, they should sack him too.

Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe is quoted by TV3 to have said, “The party is now in the hands of looters, if they sack Prof Frimpong Boateng, then they should sack me as well”.

His comments follow Justin Kodua Frimpong, the General Secretary New Patriotic Party (NPP), in a statement, who has announced that the party has initiated a move to sack Prof Frimpong Boateng.

On Monday, January 12, 2026 Prof Kwabena Frimpong Boateng, speaking on Channel One TV, described the present New Patriotic Party (NPP) as fake.

According to Prof Frimpong Boateng, he does not consider himself a member of the current NPP as it no longer reflects the values of the NPP of old.

The NPP, in a statement issued on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, described his claims as baseless and unsubstantiated allegations.

The NPP statement reads, “The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken due notice of comments made by Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng during an interview on Channel One TV on Monday, 12th January 2026, in which he described the party as a “fake party” and further stated that he no longer considers himself a member of the NPP.

In the same interview, Professor Frimpong Boateng made additional disparaging remarks about the Party and alleged, among other things, that the Party’s 2023 Presidential Primary was rigged in favour of His Excelleney Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s presidential candidate for the 2024 general elections.

The Party unequivocally rejects Professor Frimpong Boateng’s unfortunate characterisation of the NPP and firmly denies his baseless and unsubstantiated allegations regarding the conduct of the 2023 Presidential Primary. The said primary has been widely acknowledged by all candidates who participated, as well as by well-meaning members of the Party, as having been conducted in a free. fair, transparent, and credible manner, faithfully reflecting the will of Party delegates

The New Patriotic Party views the conduct and utterances of Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng as highly reprehensible and inimical to the values, unity, and integrity of the Party. Consequently, the Party has invoked the relevant provisions of its Constitution to commence the necessary processes to expel him from the Party, strictly in accordance with due process”.

Additionally, Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe backed Prof Frimpong-Boateng, who described the party as fake and challenged the NPP leadership over plans to expel him.

Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe boldly asserted that Prof Frimpong-Boateng’s comments reflect the party’s current state and warned that the party is drifting from its founding ideals.

According to Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe, he fully agreed with the views expressed by Prof Frimpong-Boateng.

In a 3news.com report on January 13, 2026, Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe is quoted as saying, I listened to Prof Frimpong-Boateng’s interview, and I must say without fear that I agree with him entirely. All the points that he raised are issues that are really worrying the party”.

“What I will say at this stage is that if they sack Frimpong-Boateng, then they should sack me. They should sack Kwame Pianim, they should sack Dr Arthur Kennedy and quite a number of us,” Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe stated.

GPRTU task force to hit the streets to sanction drivers and curb fare violations

0

Samuel Amoah, the Deputy Industrial and Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), has revealed that their task force will be hitting the streets to sanction drivers engaging in unlawful practices.

Meanwhile, Michael Kpakpo Allotey, the Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) during the festive season arrested six commercial drivers for charging unapproved transport fares.

The AMA boss personally led a task force to crack down on operators charging unapproved fares.

He stressed that the first day of the enforcement operation was intended to serve as a firm warning before stricter monitoring and sanctions.

Allotey and his team, during the exercise, walked through heavy traffic, stopping trotros and other commercial vehicles to question drivers about their fares.

Speaking to the media during the operation, the AMA boss stated, “The city cannot allow a situation where commuters are exploited through arbitrary fare hikes, particularly during peak periods.

Sustained enforcement is necessary to ensure fairness in public transport pricing, maintain order at lorry stations and along key corridors, and deter drivers who take advantage of traffic and high demand to charge beyond approved fares.”

He noted that passenger verification would remain a key part of the strategy to monitor compliance.

Trump halts Visa processing for Ghana, Nigeria, and 73 other countries

0

The Trump administration has announced that the United States is temporarily halting immigrant visa processing for Ghana, Nigeria and 73 other countries.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has declared he will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries.

The US President, in his Thanksgiving message, wrote, “A very Happy Thanksgiving salutation to all of our Great American Citizens and Patriots who have been so nice in allowing our Country to be divided, disrupted, carved up, murdered, beaten, mugged, and laughed at, along with certain other foolish countries throughout the World, for being “Politically Correct,” and just plain STUPID, when it comes to Immigration.

The official United States Foreign population stands at 53 million people (Census), most of which are on welfare, from failed nations, or from prisons, mental institutions, gangs, or drug cartels.

They and their children are supported through massive payments from Patriotic American Citizens who, because of their beautiful hearts, do not want to openly complain or cause trouble in any way, shape, or form. They put up with what has happened to our Country, but it’s eating them alive to do so! A migrant earning $30,000 with a green card will get roughly $50,000 in yearly benefits for their family. The real migrant population is much higher. This refugee burden is the leading cause of social dysfunction in America, something that did not exist after World War ll (Failed schools, high crime, urban decay, overcrowded hospitals, housing shortages, and large deficits, etc.).

As an example, hundreds of thousands of refugees from Somalia are completely taking over the once great State of Minnesota. Somalian gangs are roving the streets looking for “prey” as our wonderful people stay locked in their apartments and houses hoping against hope that they will be left alone. The seriously retarded Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, does nothing, either through fear, incompetence, or both, while the worst “Congressman/woman” in our Country, llhan Omar, always wrapped in her swaddling hijab, and who probably came into the U.S.A. illegally in that you are not allowed to marry your brother, does nothing but hatefully complain about our Country, its Constitution, and how “badly” she is treated, when her place of origin is a decadent, backward, and crime ridden nation, which is essentially not even a country for lack of Government, Military, Police, schools, etc…

…Even as we have progressed technologically, Immigration Policy has eroded those gains and living conditions for many. I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the U.S. system to fully recover, terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions, including those signed by Sleepy Joe Biden’s Autopen, and remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States, or is incapable of loving our Country, end all Federal benefits and subsidies to noncitizens of our Country, denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization.

These goals will be pursued with the aim of achieving a major reduction in illegal and disruptive populations, including those admitted through an unauthorized and illegal Autopen approval process. Only REVERSE MIGRATION can fully cure this situation. Other than that, HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL, except those that hate, steal, murder, and destroy everything that America stands for – You won’t be here for long!”.

Rawlings and Nana Addo controlled the ‘streets’ before they became president – Marigold Akufo-Addo

0

The younger sister of former President Akufo-Addo, Marigold Akufo-Addo, has said his brother and late Jerry John Rawlings controlled the streets with their charm before they became president.

Marigold Akufo-Addo highlighted that Jerry John Rawlings, in his youth, was already charismatic.

She drew triking parallel between a young Jerry John Rawlings and her brother, Nana Akufo-Addo charisma, crowds and a presence you couldn’t ignore.

Speaking with Kafui Dey, Marigold Akufo-Addo was asked if she could tell her big brother Akufo-Addo was going to be president one, she stated, “Yes and No, he had a great street following when he was little, there was something”

“I remember telling my father someday that JJ Rawlings, he used to come to GIS; I did not know he was not schooling there, he used to come and visit two young men who were there”.

Marigold Akufo-Addo further recounted that Nana Addo wanted to become a footballer, but he was not allowed.

She detailed, “ I remember one holiday,  we came back, and he went to join Ohene Djan, he was in charge of all the footballers, young and old.
