Fresh details have emerged in the ongoing divorce saga involving Bishop Daniel Obinim and gospel musician Florence Obinim, with the controversy surrounding their marriage showing no signs of ending soon.
In September 2026, it was reported that Florence Obinim had initiated a traditional divorce after more than two decades of marriage by returning traditional drinks to Bishop Obinim’s family.
In a new development, a video has surfaced online in which Bishop Obinim outlines what he claims are his estranged wife’s demands as part of their divorce settlement.
According to Bishop Obinim, Florence is demanding GH¢2 million, an apartment at 99 Nii Quaye Street in Accra, and Abroso Guest House.
He stated, “She is asking for GH¢2 million and an apartment in Accra at 99 Nii Quaye Street, Abroso Guest House. If she wants that, she should go and complete it because it got burnt recently”.
Bishop Obinim further claimed that Florence was seeking ownership of a house in Barcelona, Spain, as well as a monthly allowance of GH¢10,000 to cover her healthcare expenses.
He also alleged that she wanted the church’s headquarters in Tema as part of the settlement.
Reacting to the reported demands, Bishop Obinim described them as unreasonable and suggested that his estranged wife should engage more lawyers to represent her interests.
“She wants my house in Spain, Barcelona, and she also wants a GH¢10,000 monthly allowance as something she would use for her healthcare,” he said.
“She also wants the church at Tema. She wants the headquarters. Why is she mad? Can she stand on this altar and preach? What would her conscience even tell her? So, is this the reason why some people are saying I should keep quiet?” he added.
Bishop Obinim claims come amid growing public attention surrounding the couple’s reported separation and the potential terms of their divorce settlement.
