Awal Mohammed, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) member, has dropped a cryptic post suggesting a possible sacking or exit of Ken Agyapong from the party.
The NPP man in his post cited past developments within the New Patriotic Party, including heavyweight suspensions, defections, and disciplinary actions.
According to Awal Mohammed, a clear pattern is emerging, and he foresees another party heavyweight either exiting voluntarily or getting sacked.
Part of his post stated, “A clear pattern is emerging here: whenever the NPP is in opposition and on the verge of winning an election, some individuals are either sacrificed or they choose to jump ship right before victory lands.
Looking at things today, I foresee another party heavyweight either exiting voluntarily or getting SACKED to pave the way for Victory 2028 with Dr Bawumia insha’Allah.
At the end of the day, the party will always be bigger than any single individual”.

This is Lawyer Kakra Essamuah, the current Communications Director of the NDC.
Don’t get it twisted; over the years, after electing a Communications Officer, the NDC appoints a Communications Director to handle strategic matters behind the scenes.
Lawyer Kakra Essamuah, known for his sharp communication skills and prolific writing, was a frontline NPP member fiercely opposing the despotic regime of Rawlings.
By 1998, his popularity and political influence had soared so high that he ran for NPP General Secretary, though he ultimately lost the race to Dan Botwe.
Following that defeat, he stepped out of the spotlight for a while, only to re-emerge later with a published newspaper letter praising the NDC’s candidate, Atta Mills.
This happened just before the crucial 2000 elections, back when the NPP had never yet tasted state power.
In response, the NPP leadership officially issued a letter to SACK him from the party, damning the consequences.
Around that same time, the late Alhaji Issaka Inusah—who had been President Kufuor’s close confidant and National Campaign Manager in the 1996 elections—also jumped ship and defected to the NDC.
Yet, despite these high-profile exits, the NPP pushed forward and won the 2000 elections, successfully bringing President Kufuor into office.
In 2016, the party had to suspend the Chairman, General Secretary, and Second Vice Chairman, and we won the elections.
In fact, Akufo-Addo won one-touch with the biggest margin at that time, beating a sitting president by a million votes.
A clear pattern is emerging here: whenever the NPP is in opposition and on the verge of winning an election, some individuals are either sacrificed or they choose to jump ship right before victory lands.
Looking at things today, I foresee another party heavyweight either exiting voluntarily or getting SACKED to pave the way for Victory 2028 with Dr Bawumia insha’Allah.
At the end of the day, the party will always be bigger than any single individual”.
Meanwhile, Ken Agyapong, the former Assin Central MP, has hinted at the possibility of breaking away from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to Ken Agyapong, the NPP thinks he is stupid to come and follow them again, warning that from July 2027, they will see action from him.
Speaking on Net 2 TV, the former NPP flagbearer aspirant, Ken Agyapong, stated, “It will not be long when you travel the way they respect you, then when you get here. Somebody like KOKA is saying my head has been operated on. He does not know what will happen to him. NPP people, are you ready? I am saying June, July 2027, me and you action in Ghana, you will be surprised, you think I am stupid.
You think I am stupid to come and follow you guys again. If you were to say ten sins of Ken Agyapong, you wait and see what will happen. I am not afraid of you, you wait and see. I have given you the time, June 2027, you will see action in this country”.
Also, Ken Agyapong disclosed that he will not be intimidated or silenced by criticism from within the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
