Dr Osei Kwame Despite, a Businessman and media mogul, has revealed he owns a 700-acre salt production with over 600 workers.
According to Kwame Despite, he exports salt across Africa and questioned why it surprises people when he enjoys luxury cars despite his investments.
He quizzed his critics, questioning him on spending his wealth on luxury cars.
According to Kwame Despite, people are free to say what they want.
Speaking during an interview, Dr Osei Kwame Despite stated, “Whatever the public is saying, they should say it, as for me, I have placed everything in the hands of God. People could just criticise you for not even knowing what they were talking about.
Sometimes I even wonder who they are talking about, if you like, anyone in Ghana can move their car to my salt factory and see it is about 700 acres. I have been in this country pumping seawater to make salt. Sometimes when you go there, more than 600 people are there mining salt.
Go there and see, there are Niger cars loading salt, looking at the salt production there, and my factory, if I gain weath can’t I use it to feed myself and buy cars, is that a bad thing?
Some netizens reacting to Kwame Despite’s comments stated, “……..? I know why Elon Musk has a networth of $750 Billion. Everyone knows how he made his money. Some people in Ghana are rich without a source. They point to Cold Stores and Farming”.
Another added, “This man gets time, kraaa Dey reply . Me I won’t even mind you po na if you think sika duro is easy go do some errr lol hahahahaha. Ghanaians are funny”.
“God bless you shatta wale small neck press, now he is feeling it we like it like this in town. Everyone will start respecting other people’s hustle”, a netizen added.
A netizen added, “Mr Despite have time for stupid people. The fact is, so far as u have never seen 1m dollars doesn’t mean someone can’t make it in a day. Little-minded Ghanaians and Africans, there is real money in Ghana and in Africa. Ohia aduro deɛ lalai na sika duro deɛ yh. Go get some, eh. Ntweeee”.
“Most Ghanaians are bitter, especially the young people in this country. We all heard the name of Despite when we were young. People allegedly said he was an illicit drug dealer; meanwhile, there’s no proof of evidence to support this claim. He keeps winning while you live frugally”, one X user added.
Meanwhile, Dr Osei Kwame Despite has unveiled a world-class automobile museum.
On June 1, 2025, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, officially commissioned the museum, located in East Legon in Ghana’s capital, Accra.

Also, Dr Despite is a media mogul and the Founder of Despite Company Limited, a trading company with subsidiaries in the media and food industries.
He also owes Despite Media Group, one of Ghana’s biggest media conglomerates which include, peacefmonline.com, Peace FM, Neat FM, Hello FM, and Okay FM. Dr Despite is the co-founder of United Television (UTV).
Kwame Despite is also a co-founder and Vice Chairman of Best Point Savings and Loans LTD.
