Dr Bryan Acheampong, a Presidential hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has bragged that he was the only aspirant who toured the whole of the country.
Speaking to party delegates at a rally in Kumasi on Wednesday, Dr Acheampong fired shots at his opponent, who claimed they had completed their campaign.
He revealed that Ken Agyapong and Dr Bawumia only visited nine out of the 15 constituencies in the Upper East Region, leaving out Bawku.
According to Dr Bryan Acheampong, if one wants to be an NPP presidential candidate, that person must campaign in all constituencies, which he has done.
Dr Bryan Aceampong at the rally in Kumasi stated, “I have been able to campaign across the country. I am the only one who has been able to campaign across the entire country. Today, I saw one of my opponents say that he has completed his campaign, but when he went to the Upper East Region, he could not reach the Bawku zone.
“He only visited nine out of the 15 constituencies in the region. Ken did the same. Bawumia did the same. I am the only one who went to the Bawku zone, campaigned in Kusasi land, and also visited Mamprusi land.
“If you want to lead the NPP and become the presidential candidate, you have to campaign in all constituencies. If you want to lead this party, you must tour the entire country, just as I have done.”
Also, Dr Bryan Acheampong has vowed he would restore discipline in the NPP when he wins the party’s flagbearer position on January 31, 2026.
The Abetifi lawmaker highlighted that a lot of people within the NPP are just talking, insulting, and fighting on all platforms.
According to Dr Bryan Acheampong, there is no respect for authority within the NPP, and lines are being crossed back and forth.
Speaking on Asaase Radio, Dr Bryan Acheampong explained, “A lot of people in our party, just talking, insulting, fighting… on all platforms, radio, TV, social media, everywhere there’s banter. There’s no respect for authority; lines are being crossed back and forth. Nowhere in the world can you win an election with this level of indiscipline?
“Look at my campaign, you won’t find anybody in my campaign speaking against anybody or insulting anybody. No, you dare not,” he said.
He added, ”January 31st, when I win on February 1st, I will restore discipline. To start with, I will ensure that everyone downs their tools, drops their mics and raise your fingers from the screen. Let’s have a conversation on how we are going to communicate with each other and how we are going to communicate with the external publics,” he said.
“To start with, I will ensure that everybody downs their tools. Come down, drop your mic, raise your fingers from the screen and let’s have a conversation on how we’re going to communicate to each other, how we’re going to communicate with the external publics going forward.
