Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, a Ghanaian media personality, has fired shots at the Senior Pastor of the Alabaster International Ministry, Prophet Kofi Oduro.
The Ghanaian media personality took a swipe at Prophet Kofi Oduro following a viral video in which he pleaded with Ghanaians to cut Prophet Bernard ElBernard some slack following his failed prophecy.
In a viral video, Prophet Kofi Oduro appealed to the public to show mercy to Prophet ElBernard after his prophecy that Kennedy Agyapong would win the NPP primaries failed to materialise.
According to Prophet Kofi Oduro, Prophet ElBernard is a genuine man of God.
However, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, reacting to Prophet Kofi Oduro, described him as a liar and a hypocrite.
He accused the man of God of acting out of personal interest and questioning his credibility as a man of God.
Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah cited that Kofi Oduro harshly criticised Rev Kusi Boateng when he prophesied victory for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 general election, but is now defending Prophet ElBernard.
Speaking on his For the Records show, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah stated, “I think the hypocrisy in Ghanaian society is too much. So, because Prophet ElBernard prophesied that Kennedy would win, and it didn’t happen, we should forgive him because he is one of you. However, when Rev Kusi Boateng prophesied that the NPP would win the 2024 election, and it didn’t come to pass, he was branded as one of the foolish prophets.
“God has not called Kofi Oduro; he is not a man of God. He is a politician. You need to come clean and let Ghanaians know that you are a member of the NDC and that Julius Debrah is your brother. You have an interest,” he stated.
“Kofi Oduro is not a prophet; he is a liar and a hypocrite. All he wanted was a change of government because Julius Debrah is his brother. He has nothing better to offer Ghanaians in national discourse. He has personal interests and should stop hiding behind the pulpit,” he added.
In related news, Prophet Oduro has urged the clergy to stop using church platforms for political discourse.
According to him, pastors should rather have a gospel to proclaim and souls to win, but such priorities, he argued, are being sidetracked by political involvements.
“Let’s stop this nonsense of helping these politicians. Let’s not use the pulpit for political nonsense. We have a gospel to preach. We have souls to win. We have a Christ to glorify,” he said.
“Most of these politicians are very disrespectful to God, very promiscuous, very adulterous, and most of them don’t care about God. Why do we have to care about them and give them so much attention?” he said.
