Richard Ahiagbah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Director of Communications, has claimed that the Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwa, the polls are illegitimate.

The NPP communicator boldly claimed Mussa Dankwa’s poll was meant to skew people’s attention.

Richard Ahiagbah is quoted by GHOne TV to have saying, “Mussa Dankwah’s poll was meant to skew people’s attention”.

However, some Ghanaians have reacted to Richard Ahiagbah’s comments, saying, “I’ve always maintained that the NPP and sense are parallel lines. Gyimii saa. Do Akwatia care about polls? So you no go learn? Momma yengu npp party nu..??

The hardest job in the world now is being an NPP and a Manchester United supporter, the job no dey grounds” .

“The man keeps winning, and you keep bleeding. Whether Moses went to the mountain, or the mountain came to Moses, there was a movement. How does data convince people to vote if they’re convinced their party will win ?”, another netizen stated.

Another netizen wrote, “Is this man a communicator? What does he communicate? Is he not aware how pro? Sarpong did fake polls to sway people, and it didn’t work?”

Additionally, a netizen added, “Why can’t you guys accept the facts for once and work on it? This is not how to go, listen to the concerns of the grassroots”.

Meanwhile, Mussa Dankwa has warned Ghanaian politicians that Ghana’s electoral demography has changed.

The pollster asserted that gone are the days when elections were won on propaganda, emotions,  and insults.

He detailed that winning elections in Ghana today requires research, strategy, and science.

Speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show, Mussa Dankwa stated, “The word here is poll, fair game, research, and science. Gone are the days when elections are won on propaganda, emotions, insults, or just anything. All the parties must realise that the demography of people who are voting in Ghana today has dramatically changed.

Over 70% of people who vote in Ghana today are below 35 years old. That is something that they must appreciate and understand the implications of the same,” Mr Dankwa explained.

He added, “These people are well-connected, are on social media, and will be quick to fact-check you. If they fact-check you and realise that you are telling lies, that is your end”.

He further noted that he would have been taken to the slaughterhouse if he had got his projections for the Akwatia by-elections wrong.

Mussa Dankwa added, “I knew I would have been taken to the slaughterhouse. They were preparing to take me there to finish me if I got this wrong”.

Mussa Dankwa, in a separate interview, also revealed that getting his poll right for the Akwatia by-election was more difficult than the 2024 general election.

According to Mussa Dankwa, he is close to tears after his poll on the Akwatia by-election has been vindicated after the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) victory.

Mussa Dankwa was quoted by GHOne TV to have stated, “Getting Akwatia right was more difficult than the 2024 general election, I’m close to tears”.

It will be recalled that Mussa Dankwa, before the Akwatia by-election, revealed that the NDC parliamentary candidate for the Akwatia by-election had overtaken the NPP’s candidate three days to the election.

According to the new polls by the Global Info Analytics Bernard B. Baidoo, the NDC candidate’s lead has been propelled by voters who want development and also by senior high school and tertiary students voters who prefer the NDC candidate.

In the poll, Bernard B. Baidoo secured the NDC candidate’s lead with 53% and Asumadu of the NPP 47%.

Mussa Dankwah, in a post on X on Friday, August 29, wrote, “NDC’s Baidoo overtakes NPP’s Asumadu 3 days before the crucial polls for the main opposition in Akwatia. Baidoo’s lead is propelled by voters who want development and SHS, and tertiary voters who preferred Baidoo by larger margin.

Using the committed model, which is likely to be minimum vote for Baidoo, the NDC candidates lead with 53% and Asumadu of the NPP 47%”.

He further reaffirmed that the people of Akwatia are not moved by sympathy.

According to Mussa Dankwa, Sympathy will not influence voter decisions in the Akwatia by-election.

He revealed that the people of Akwatia want jobs and education.

Speaking on TV3’s Key Point on Saturday, August 30, Mussa Dankwa stated, “Sympathy will not influence voter decisions in Akwatia by-election. For them, it is about improving the quality of education in the constituency. Those with senior high school qualifications are looking for sustainable jobs”.

Mussa Dankwah further declared, “I am 99% sure that the NDC will win the by-election.”

He confidently stood by his latest poll, which projected a victory for the NDC.
