Pastor Kelvin, the founder and leader of the Zoe Outreach Embassy Church in Ghana, has accused the NDC Member of Parliament for Akwatia, Bernard Bediako Baidoo, of fraud.
According to Pastor Kelvin, Bernard Bediako Baidoo allegedly orchestrated a grand scheme to sell the properties and land of a company, Air Real Estate Company Limited.
The pastor alleged that the MP forged documents to win a case in court, allowing him to sell the properties.
He further accused the NDC MP of using a non-existent identity and business transaction to gain access to the said lands and properties.
Speaking in a video shared on Facebook, Pastor Kelvin alleged, saying, “From police findings, Bernard Bediako Baidoo is the brain behind the whole thing. (He) created a transaction that doesn’t exist. Filed a writ in court through Amoaku Adjei’s chambers. Executed the writ and got judgment, and then executed the auction.
“Look at the property there. He sold 14 of these, 14 of these. That’s not the entire thing, so there was bare land of about 8.2 acres, which we haven’t gotten to yet. We are dealing with these properties first,” the pastor said.
He further alleged, “So the case here is that simple. The case is number one. Augustine Ampofo Bediako cannot be found, and also had no transaction at all with Air Real Estate Limited, nor did any worker of Air Real Estate Limited ever know him?
“As we speak, nothing like that. Nobody knew him. Access Bank says he made no payment into any account that we know is associated with Air Real Estate Limited. These are your statements.
So a transaction that never existed, that never happened, is what Bernard Bediako Baidoo created only because he wanted to sell off our properties because at that he knew our hands were changed.
Sold the property out of fraud and had the confidence. A lawyer, a competent lawyer, had the confidence to go and lie to the court with this kind of attitude, this, my goodness, and won the case and executed the transaction,” he claimed.
In other news, a group of Ghanaian businesswomen who are victims of an alleged GH¢13m import scam have publicly urged President Mahama, the Attorney General, and the Inspector-General of Police to intervene after a court dismissed their fraud complaint.
According to the businesswomen, the court dismissed their fraud complaint involving over GH¢13 million allegedly lost to a man promising to import goods.
One of the complainants disclosed that the suspect was arrested in March 2024 and later granted bail, with the case proceeding to court until it was dismissed on Wednesday, prompting the victims to seek intervention from the authorities.
Speaking in a viral video, the victims outside Dansoman Circuit Court in Accra, where one woman in sunglasses passionately voiced their frustration, stated, “This is a public appeal to the IGP, His Excellency the President, and the Attorney General. We are women; we worked in Ghana, and some came to us that he was selling some goods we gathered our money and also other people’s money and gave the money to him to import the goods for us.
He presented himself as an agent, over GH¢13million, that is over 130 billion old cedis. We are standing at the Dansoman court; the man was arrested on 18 March 2024 and was granted bail. Since then, every time we come to court, the case is adjourned, and today, August 6, the case has been dismissed”.
“People have died, people’s marriages have also ended, and their businesses have been ruined; some have also gone into hiding because of this issue. Over 130 billion old cedis, and he is still in Ghana walking free. Since 2024, they have been conducting an investigation. Are we going to allow this person to go scot-free? We understand the wheel of justice is slow, but this one has stopped; they are acquitting the person.
Please help us so that our issue will get to the President and other leaders. We reported the case at the Central Police Station in Accra, and he was arrested and is now walking free while we are struggling to pay our debts”.
