Mussa Dankwah, the Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, has disclosed that the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) is the John Mahama government’s weakest-performing area.
The Pollster has suggested that public perceptions of the government’s performance under Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) could influence support for the proposed regional tribunals.
He disclosed that from the June 2026 Global InfoAnalytics national tracking poll, noted that ORAL ranked as the joint fourth worst-rated area of government performance, with 29 per cent of respondents identifying it as an area where the government had performed poorly.
Mussa Dankwah revealed that only employment (44 per cent), the economy (32 per cent) and dumsor (29 per cent) ranked as high or higher concerns in the poll, while the fight against galamsey followed at 26 per cent.
“In the June 2026 national tracking poll, ORAL was the fourth worst area of performance for the government,” Dankwah said.
Mussa Dankwah suspected whether those findings could influence public opinion on the government’s proposal to establish regional tribunals.
“Could voters’ perception of ORAL performance impact on how they view the introduction of the regional tribunals?” he asked.
It will be recalled that the ORAL team, on February 10, 2025, submitted their final report to President John Mahama.
The chairman of Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) and Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa revealed that with just 36 cases, Ghana can potentially recover $ 20.49 billion in stolen state resources.
However, 18 months down the line, Dominic Ayine, the Attorney-General (AG) and Minister for Justice, has not disclosed the significant recoveries under the Mahama government’s Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative.

According to the Attorney-General, his office had achieved unprecedented results in corruption-related prosecutions within a single year.
He argued that he is the first Attorney-General to have brought five corruption cases in one year to court.
Dominic Ayine further dismissed claims that the government was shifting attention away from the ORAL.
Speaking to journalists, the Attorney-General stated, “As for the threat of arming themselves and making the country ungovernable, I think I will treat it with the contempt it deserves”.
“But as far as this government is concerned, I want to reiterate that we will respect the rights and freedoms of every Ghanaian,” the Attorney-General added.
“You know, it’s very interesting when statements like that are being made that we are doing this because ORAL is failing. ORAL is not failing,” he declared.
He added, “Go back and check the record. I am the first Attorney-General in the history of the Fourth Republic to have brought five corruption cases in one year. Go back and check the records”.
“What is happening in court now is rather putting pressure on them because they know that I have been so diligent in my investigations. I have been so diligent in the prosecutions that they are afraid that their people will go down for the acts of corruption that they are engaging in,” he said.
“And so, the accusation that we are shifting focus away from ORAL is not something that I will pay heed to because ORAL is on track and ORAL is going to succeed,” Dr Ayine stressed.
