Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, a Ghanaian media personality and staunch New Patriotic Party (NPP) member, has told Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah to curse those who offended him and not supporters of the NPP.

According to Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah, Rev Owusu Bempah has been speaking out of pain over how he was treated by some members of the party after it came to power.

He argued that although Rev Owusu Bempah believe the NPP cannot return to power, threatening to curse people who continue to support the party is unreasonable

Speaking in a viral video, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah stated, “If Reverend Owusu Bempah thinks the NPP cannot win, only he has that vision. But saying he will curse people who like the party is not reasonable. God doesn’t even curse people who choose to join a particular party”.

“If a reverend helped you into power and afterwards he does not receive a share of the goodies that came out of it, he will curse you out of pain. But I believe those who acted wrongly were not the NPP itself. If he’s going to curse, it should be those who offended him,” he stated.

Afrifa-Mensah further disclosed that a new leadership being voted for in the NPP will ensure that those who contributed to the party’s success are duly recognised.

He added, “There’s going to be a new leadership, there’s going to be a new movement, there’s going to be a new direction for our party, and everyone who served well is going to receive what we call the ‘spoils of war,’ where everyone will receive a fair share of everything that comes out”.

“If after elections only a small number of people take everything for themselves without sharing with the rest of the people, that is going to bring problems, and pastors will curse us,” he said.

“So, Reverend Owusu Bempah is talking out of pain, but God doesn’t just curse people like that. We plead with him to calm down, and when the party gets back on its feet again, we will respectfully give him everything he’s owed,” he added.

In related news, Rev Isaac Owusu-Bempah, in a video have recounted how his troubles began with the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Rev Owusu Bempah disclosed that his troubles began from an old video prophecy before President Akufo-Addo was elected.

According to Rev Owusu Bempah, he was once called to the Jubilee House by the then Chief of Staff, Frema Opare, about an old video in which he made some prophetic proclamation.

Rev Owusu Bempah later revealed that Chief of Staff Frema Opare ordered him to tell a lie by granting an interview telling Ghanaians his old prophecy had been cancelled by God and that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia would be the next president of Ghana.

The man of God added that while he was about to grant the interview, God once again instructed him not to say anything and be quiet.

Speaking to his congregation in a viral video shared on TikTok, Rev Owusu Bempah narrated, saying, “I was at home one day, and I received a call from the then Chief of Staff, Madam Frema Opare, and he said your father (Akufo-Addo)  has invited you to see him. So my self and Rev Nana Kwasi we went to the Jubilee House. I cannot disclose all things, but there is a point I am trying to make.

When I got there, Prophet Kusi Boateng was there too, so he and I and C2 went to the Chief of Staff, and she told them to play a video for me to see. You know I don’t tell lies; just that there are certain things I will not talk about if it can potentially cause trouble, but as for this, it will not cause any trouble”.

He added, “They played the video to me; after I had seen the video, the Chief of Staff, then Madam Frema Opare, asked me if I was the one in the video, and I said yes. He then asked why I said this. I told her this is an old video; it was recorded so many years ago before Akufo-Addo became president. So I did not even know this was going to happen, but I said it because God gave me the prophecy.

She told me they were not happy about the prophecy. She told me to go and see the President so I could explain to him that it was an old video. I went to see the president, but I will not disclose that.

The Chief of Staff told me that if I was leaving the Jubilee House, she would like to see me before I leave. Right there, Prophet Kusi Boateng confirmed the video was old, and the Chief of Staff told me the day after tomorrow I should grant interviews and I should prophecy that the old prophecy God has cancelled it and it will not work and God is bringing Dr Bawumia as the President and leader of Ghana”.

Rev Owusu Bempah further narrated, “So I walked out. When I got home, I had prepared to grant interviews for me to say what the woman wanted me to say because she told me a foot does not fall far away from a tree and he supports Dr Bawumia so I must also support him.

But God spoke to me and said Do not say anything; be quiet so I did not say anything. That was when my troubles started.
