The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has revealed they have arrested a Notorious drug ‘queen’ in a major operation in Buduburam in Gomoa East Municipal of the Central Region.
NACOC revealed the suspect were under close surveillance due several complaints received regarding their illegal activities.
According to NACOC, the major operation was carried out on Friday, 16 January 2026 which led to the arrest of 32-year-old woman, identified as Rebecca Afia Naa Dei Kotei known as ‘mother’.
The suspect has long been tagged as the central player in the drug activities.
NACOC raid resulted in seizure of suspected cannabis, tramadol, and other controlled substances with other individual arrested and taken into custody.
Official of NACOC highlighted that the arrested individuals will be processed for court to face justice for their crimes.






This latest raid by NACOC follows an earlier operation during the festive-season crackdown code-named “Operation White Ember”, which has led to the arrest of 72 suspects in Eastern and Greater Accra regions.
NACOC “Operation White Ember” targeted Madina Redco Flats, Zongo Junction, and the railway slums around Airport City in the Greater Accra Region.
In the Eastern Region, Mamfe and Tutu were stormed by NACOC officers.
72 suspects were arrested during the operations.
On Friday, December 26, NACOC Operation White Ember also stormed the Tema Community One and Teshie Nungua additional arrests were made with narcotic substances seized.
Also, NACOC operations were carried out at shopping malls and beaches across the capital.
Meanwhile, Acting Director of Public Affairs and International Relations of NACOC, Francis Opoku Amoah, has boldly assured Ghanaians that their raids are not going to be one-off as they will be sustained.
According to Francis Opoku Amoah, the Commission is determined to intensify the fight against illicit drugs.
Speaking in an interview on Channel One Newsroom on Sunday, December 28, the Acting Director of Public Affairs and International Relations of NACOC stated, “Let me assure the general public that it is not going to be a one-off thing [raids].
It is something that we will continue to do, whatever we say that we’re going to do with the help of God, with our professional training, guidance, support and leadership of our current management, I’m very sure that we will see to the end of everything that we say we’re going to do,” he said.
“Say something once you see some of these activities in your locality, we will investigate and take action,” he appealed.
