Lawyers for the CEO of Adamus Resources Ltd, Angela Attieh, have sued David Tamakloe, the Editor of the New Republic Newspaper and one Ralph Ofori Adeniram for False Publications and defamation.
David Tamakloe is once again facing a court case after a false publications spree against the CEO of Adamus Resources Ltd, Angela Attieh.
Lawyers for the CEO of Adamus Resources Ltd filed the suit against David Tamakloe, who doubles as President of PRINPAG, and Ralph Ofori Adeniram after their series of false publications and defamation against Angela Attieh, who is reputed as the most outstanding female mining entrepreneur in Africa.
The controversial David Tamakloe, in one of his defamatory publications on Facebook, insinuated that “Wontumi Jailed Angela Attieh is Next”, attaching Angela List to illegal mining activities.
Lawyers for the CEO of Adamus Resources, in their suit, attached evidence of posts and publications where David Tamakloe carried a publication in the New Republic referring to Angela List as Galamsey Queen.
David Tamakloe’s publication had a Banner headline “Queen of Nzema… How Angela List turned an Australian Mine into a Galamsey Empire”.
The Editor of the New Republic Newspaper’s unsubstantiated and slanderous publications necessitated the court action by Angela Attieh.
The interlocutory injunction notice sighted detailed that pursuant to order 25 C.I. 47, Angela List’s Lawyers are praying the Court to restrain David Tamakloe and Ralph Ofori Adeniram including the outfits through which either of them operate namely Whatsup News or the New Republic and it’s website thenewrepublicgh.com from further publishing, republishing, broadcasting or causing to be published or republished in print, electronic or any other form of medium whatsoever any defamatory words, statement or any matter concerning the Plaintiff/Applicants pending the determination of the suit.
Meanwhile, Angela Attieh has been honoured by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at a high-profile programme to mark 27 years of his enstoolment.
In a moment that celebrated both legacy and trailblazing excellence, the special recognition of Angela List stood as a powerful symbol of resilience, vision, and transformative leadership.
She received a commemorative gold coin award alongside President John Dramani Mahama, former Presidents JA Kufuor and Nana Akufo- Addo, former Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, and the IGP, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, for their varied contributions to national security and socio- economic advancement.
The event, which was held at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, under the theme: Advancing Peace and Sustainable Economic Development Through Royal Vision, had the Commonwealth Secretary General, Madam Ayorkor Botchwey, as the Special Guest of Honour.
Angela Attieh dedicated the award to her more than 3,000 workers employed by Nguvu Mining Limited, a group of companies operating in Ghana, Niger, Mali and Liberia.
They include Adamus Resources Limited, Northern Ashanti Mining Company Limited, Segala Mining Corporation, Samira Hill Gold Mine and Poura Resources Limited.
Angela Attieh, who has been in the mining industry for 25 years, is the first Ghanaian woman to win the award, which is designated as a tribute to trailblazers who have boldly reshaped the narrative of leadership, empowered communities and created enduring change.
