A video has emerged of an officer of the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) falling from a moving vehicle while escorting Abu Trica and his associates.
In the viral video following the court proceedings on December 23, 2025, security officers were escorting the suspects back to remand out of the court premises.
The NACOC officers at the back of the pickup security vehicle, with their colleagues, fell off the car after losing their balance on top of the vehicle as the driver sped off.
The officer quickly got back on his feet, picking up his firearm and running to catch up with the vehicle.
Meanwwhile in court, Abu Trica and his two associates were denied bail by the Gbese District Court.
Abu Trica was at the Gbese District Court as part of extradition proceedings following a request from US authorities.
In a viral video shared, Abu Trica and his accomplices were spotted arriving at the Gbese District Court.
The Swedru-based businessman was dressed in a black shirt and a black cap and covered his face to conceal his identity.
His associate, Lord Eshun and Bernard Aidoo were also escorted to court by the security service without their faces covered.
The Gbese District Court denied Abu Trica and his two associates and remanded them into Police custody.
The court ordered the Interior Ministry to clarify arrest warrants for two of Abu Trica’s alleged accomplices within five weeks and denies them bail.
The trio faces fraud and money laundering charges, with the case adjourned to January 13, 2026.
According to reports from TV3, Abu Trica and two others were charged with conspiracy to defraud by false pretence and conspiracy to commit money laundering in a romance scam and wire fraud case.
Additionally, a committed supporter of embattled Swedru-based businessman, Frederick Kumi, widely known as Abu Trica, has pleaded on his behalf following his bail being denied.
According to the staunch supporter of Abu Trica, he has never committed any sin, adding that he is also involved in the browsing work.
Speaking to the media, a supporter of Abu Trica stated, “Abu Trica has never committed any wrongdoing. We are all in the browsing work together, and we need our brother home. We plead on his behalf because he has never committed any wrong deeds,”
When asked if he knew of the charges against Abu Trica, he added, “I’m aware [of the charges against Abu Trica]. They want to deal with our brother, but we believe that by the grace of God, he will come home. We know all that is going on and we are with him together. He tells and shows us whatever is happening”.
