Prophet Fire Oja, the Head pastor of Zion Prayer Ministries International, has debunked claims that he has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service.
According to Prophet Fire Oja, he has been chilling at home, adding that the circulating news concerning his arrest is fake.
In a Facebook post on January 6, 2026, Prophet Fire Oja, wrote, “Still chillin’ at home yesterday and today, vibin’ life, and ppl are runnin’ wild with fake news, sayin’ I’m in cells 🤣😂. I have never been arrested…”.
However, Ghanaian singer Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel, had earlier confirmed the arrest of the controversial prophet Jedidiah Henry Kore, popularly known as Fire Oja.
Mzbel, in an Instagram post, announced that Prophet Fire Oja had pleaded guilty to all charges levelled against him and had apologised to her.
She further revealed that Prophet Fire Oja is currently being prepared for court proceedings to ensure justice is served, similar to the case of Nana Agradaa.
Mzbel’s complaint follows Fire Oja, who was heard making allegations about Mzbel’s health.
Prophet Fire Oja in the viral video claimed that Mzbel was seriously ill and had been admitted to a hospital at Kasoa.
“Mzbel was seriously ill, and she was taken to a hospital at Kasoa. It was God who saved her. But she has come online to say that she went to do soul travel. Be very careful if you are following her. If you are following such a public figure, be careful because she can lead you to the wrong place.
“I dare Mzbel to come out and deny it if I am telling lies. I have evidence of everything I am saying right now. If she thinks I am telling lies, she should dare come online and deny it,” he said.
Reports suggest Prophet Fire Oja was arrested on January 5, 2025, following a formal complaint made by Mzbel to the Ghana Police Service.
Some netizen reactimg to the video stated, “Hmmm…The controversy arose from a viral video where Prophet Jedidiah Henry Kore (known as Fire Oja), leader of Zion Prayer Ministries International, claimed Mzbel suffered severe health issues (including hospitalisation) after a “soul travel” spiritual experience with Ola Maame in 2025. He also accused her of conspiring to defraud women. Mzbel denied these allegations, stating she was never hospitalised and challenged anyone spreading the claims to provide evidence”.
A netizen added, “Mzbel just set the bar high. Finally, someone is showing that fame or influence doesn’t make you untouchable. Ghana needs more of this kind of accountability. Let this be a reminder: your words carry weight, and justice doesn’t play favorites”
“Yes, he should face the laws for his actions, but I don’t understand why most of you are attacking his calling ‘Prophet’ instead of his character. Why??” another Ghanaian wrote.
One more netizen added, “According to some older folks I spoke to, they alleged Ghana became worse with corruption when these small small churches and prophets started springing up in numbers, personally I think evil sees evil more! There hasn’t been any prophecy about progress by these prophets”.
