Award-winning musician Stonebwoy has revealed that he owns a rice company in Ghana called Lilo Rice, which he runs together with his wife, Louisa Ansong Satekla.
Reports suggest the name Lilo is derived from the first two letters of Livingston and Louisa.
According to Stonebwoy, the company has existed for some time,
He made this known in a recent interview, drawing fresh attention to his business ventures beyond music.
Speaking in the interview, Stonebwoy stated, “You got me saying a lot of things, on this show, but of course I sell rice. A lot of people don’t know, but that is one of the things I do. Package the Ghana rice, and distribute it”.
So patronise me, it December, makesure you patronise me. December is like rice in Ghana; everybody eats rice”.
In related news, Kwaw Kese, the Ghanaian hiplife artiste, has said he plans to venture into poultry farming by jumping into the Mahama government’s Nkoko Nkitinkiti projects.
According to Kwaw Kese, he is into business interests beyond music.
He revealed that he is into maize and cassava farming and plans to start a poultry farm.
Kwaw Kese further emphasised that surviving on music alone in Ghana is difficult.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz stated, “I do maize and cassava farming. I am ready to jump into the ‘Nkoko Nkitinkiti’ to start a poultry farm, so the government can help me,” he said.
