Ernest Acquah Wesley, the Head Pastor of Love Crusaders Chapel, has told men that marriage is not compulsory.
According to Ernest Acquah Wesley, the fact that a man sponsored a lady does not mean she must marry him.
The man of God urged men to make their intentions known to ladies before they support them.
Speaking during a discussion themed “Choosing the Right Partner,” Ernest Acquah Wesley stated, “Marriage is not compulsory. The fact that you sponsored her through Nursing Training College does not mean she must marry you”.
“Before you support a lady, let her know your intentions. If you want to marry her in the long term, tell her. If she agrees, you can go on and do what you want. If not, you don’t proceed so that no one gets hurt in the end”.
“To the ladies, too, no man owes you marriage. If someone comes to you with ‘the Lord said you are my partner, that person is a liar. Be mindful when collecting freebies from people, so do not think you have to marry them because of their gifts,” Rev Ernest Acquah Wesley added.
Some Ghanaians reacting to the man of God’s remarks stated, “This so-called man of God is stupid. Which man will invest in a woman for free and would not like to make her his? Men are not father than Christmas. It is only a pretentious woman who will think a man is sponsoring her for free. If you want your life to be short, follow this”.
One X user added, “The level of stupidity here makes me question his congregation. Why the fuck are they still in his church, such stupid submission”.
A netizen added, “He’s talking as if the women would be honest and say, ‘ Reject your proposal and offer outright.
She needs help; you have what it takes to better her life, she would say yes. And when she thinks she doesn’t need you anymore, that’s when she will say no”.
“However, in such situations, the recipient can pretend not to sense or perceive the intentions behind such acts, and therefore he or she must also take the necessary steps to make his/her stance on the issue very clear. You don’t wait until you finish your education before declaring your stance”, a netizen noted.
One more Ghanaian wrote, “I think it is high time these ‘men of God’ stop talking about marriages, they are making things worse”.
In related news, Rev Takal Mordecai of Petra International Church, Adenta, has boldly declared that any man who gives a GH¢10 or GH¢20 offering is not ready for marriage.
The Pastor told his female congregants not to marry any man who gives GH¢10 or GH¢20 as an offering to God.
He further highlighted that if the man can be stingy with God, what will he do with his female companion?
Speaking in a viral video shared on X by SIKAOFFICIAL, the Pastor stated, “Any boy who gives an offering of GH¢10 or GH¢20 is not ready for marriage, I am telling you. He is not ready; his finances are zero. Don’t marry him. If a man can be stingy with God, what of you?
Some of you don’t accept reality, a guy who cannot thank God, you think he would appreciate you? He does not appreciate God will he appreciate you? Who do you think you are?”
Nobody will say he loves you without giving to you, anything that loves you gifts to you, he does have? Gifts do not have to be expensive”.

“Marriage is not compulsory. The fact that you sent her to nursing training doesn’t mean it’s mandatory for her to marry you. Before you do something for a lady, make your intentions known. If she rejects them, don’t proceed further. Ladies, no man owes you marriage either.”
