“The next road project in my constituency will have me rolling on the floor” – MP

News“The next road project in my constituency will have me rolling on the floor” – MP

Haruna Mohammed, the member of parliament for Asunafo North, has boldly stated that the next road project in his constituency will have him rolling on the floor.

The lawmaker made this known following a viral video of him, going down on his knees, praising President John Mahama for the swift commencement of a major road project in his constituency.

The lawmaker in a viral video asserted that the Goaso and Tepa road project was just awarded in three months under the Mahama government’s big push initiative, but the contractors are already asphalting the road.

Haruna Mohammed boldly highlighted that the Goaso and Tepa road was the main reason the people of Ahafo voted against the NPP government.

Speaking in the viral video during the ongoing works on the Goaso and Tepa road, Haruna Mohammed stated, “God bless Mahama, God should make him bigger.

I am so happy that even my white shirt I will roll on the floor with it to thank President Mahama and the NDC”.

This road, in particular, is the reason why the people of Ahafo voted against the NPP. This contract was awarded just three months ago”.

Reacting to the viral video, the MP in a post on X wrote, The next road project in my constituency, I will literally roll on the floor as gratitude”.

Also, Haruna Mohammned, in another post, has debunked claims that the NPP started the current massive works on the Tepa to Goaso road.

According to him, the claims are false, plain and simple.

He wrote, “The claim that the NPP started the current massive works on the Tepa to Goaso road is false. Plain and simple.

Before the 2024 elections, even the Ahafo Regional Chairman of the NPP publicly admitted that this same road was in a deplorable state and had become a serious political threat to his own party. At that time, there was no real construction on site. No momentum. Just abandoned sections, dust and endless excuses.

What the people are seeing today is not propaganda, not warnings and not fear driven promises. It is real work. Heavy equipment on site. Asphalt going down. Measurable progress. This only began after the change of government and the clear directive from President John Dramani Mahama under the Big Push infrastructure agenda for the contractor to return to site and deliver”.

He added, “Let it be clearly understood. Barely three months after the contract was awarded, the project is almost completed. That is what seriousness looks like. That is what leadership looks like.

For years, the people of Ahafo endured accidents, dust and hardship under NPP governance. If this road had truly been started and prioritised, it would never have become the very campaign liability their own leaders complained about in public.

They can amuse themselves with claims and self-praise if that makes them feel better. The political reality is staring all of us in the face. Today, the NPP holds only one seat out of six in Ahafo. That verdict was delivered by the people, not by words but by experience.

Ahafo deserves honesty, not recycled lies. Progress is visible. The people can see it. And no amount of noise can rewrite that truth”.
