Sam George, the Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, has dismissed allegations made in a viral video circulating online making serious allegations against him.
In the viral video shared by GHnow on social media, a lone protester, was spotted claiming Sam George placed him under 24/7 surveillance and hacked his communications.
According to the man, he reported the incident to the Ghana Police Service under the leadership of IGP George Akuffo Dampare.
He further shockingly claimed that Sam George ordered the assassination of his brother in November 2023 in an alleged cover-up.
However, Sam George, reacting to the video, in a Facebook post described the man allegations as grievous with no basis or facts, adding that at the time the man referenced, he was not serving as minister and therefore had no legal or official authority to conduct surveillance or cyber monitoring.
According to Sam George, he has lodged a complaint with the authorities for the man to be invited to substantiate his claims in the interest of justice.
Sam George, in his post, wrote, “My attention has been drawn to a video circulating in which a man makes very serious allegations, specifically naming my name and office.
He claims I put him under surveillance and also hacked him 24/7. He further claims that he reported the case to the Ghana Police Service at the time under the leadership of IGP Dampare. He alleges a cover-up by the Police.
He further claims that to silence him, I ordered the assassination of his only brother. He says all of these happened in November 2023, a time when I was not a Minister for Communication as I am today and had no legal or official authority to place anyone under surveillance or cyber monitoring.
These are grievous allegations with no basis or facts, and they impugn criminal action on my part. I have therefore lodged a formal complaint with the authorities and asked that the individual be invited to substantiate his claims in the interest of justice.

Another netizen stated, “We should not always hide behind the word “Mental Challenge “ to impugn the hard worn reputation of the other.
He must be arrested for questioning and processed for court and if found guilty, he must face the consequences”.
A Facebooker added, “Hon. Samuel Nartey George, please stay focused. It’s a strategy of diverting your attention. Good move. If he’s found guilty, the law should work without mercy”.
“This is definitely the handwork of the NPP. When the man is arrested, they will come out and claim that he is being persecuted for exercising his freedom of speech”, a netizen alleged.
One last Facebooker added, “While listening to this i was just laughing 😃, although is a serious issue. How can you say that this man did all these to you when he was not yet in office, no power, no influence, no authority and no capacity? Sam George was not that powerful under NPP, so how is this possible massah?
I believe the man wants to trend, but he will continue that in Pr!son, some of these people pushing 🫸 false narratives need to be treated accordingly. The man also needs to be checked mentally”.
