Oheneba Akua Manfo, popularly known as Blakofe, a former media personality, has reacted to a court confirming properties belonging to former NPA boss Mustapha Hamid in the NPA scandal case.
Blakofe accused former President Akufo-Addo’s appointees of using public office to enrich themselves.
According to Blakofe, Akufo-Addo’s appointees only came to steal, adding that they could have stolen small and done something for the country but only came to power to sort themselves.
It will be recalled that Blakofe also served under Akufo-Addo, adding that the development reinforced her belief that some officials entered government with the intention of benefiting personally rather than serving the country.
In a social media post, she stated, “They came to steal. These guys could have stolen small and done something for the country. Instead, they chose to sort themselves out. Akufo-Addo & all his appointees are a big disappointment’.
“Except me & Akwesi. I chose not to chop by resigning. Akwesi worked to grow the return home agenda. We have not heard about him chopping,” she said.
“No fool should bring themselves with any silly comments that I hate Akufo-Addo or that I’m crazy, bipolar, junkie, bitter,” she said.
“Outside Gh, choosing integrity over chopping makes me valuable, a great asset. In Gh, it makes me ‘untrustworthy’, ‘not smart’, & to be avoided!” she said.
“Crazy, smelly, filthy country where the corrupt are glorified and elevated above the non-corrupt. Make it make sense,” she added.
Her comment follows a detailed list of properties and assets linked to former National Petroleum Authority (NPA) Chief Executive, Dr Mustapha Hamid, has surfaced following their confirmation by the court.
The assets include cash, fuel stations, lands, residential properties, apartments and 23 fuel tanker trucks, with several of the properties valued at millions of Ghana cedis.

According to reports, the OSP is expected to rely on financial records, including bank and mobile money accounts and related transactions, to establish the movement of funds linked to the alleged offences.
Hundreds of documents are also expected to form part of the evidence the OSP will present in support of its case.
