Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, the Minister of Finance, has been warned that he will be used as a scapegoat if the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) loses the 2028 elections.
According to the Ashanti Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Yandoh, if the party regain power, they will retaliate against the NDC.
He argued that in the same way, the NDC is pursuing former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, the NPP will also pursue Ato Forson.
Speaking in an interview on Angel TV, Paul Yandoh stated, “If Ken Ofori-Atta has committed sins, as for you, you will not be given any bail condition Ato Forson. His own people, the NDC, will point him out as the one who made them suffer.
If the NDC lose in 2028, Ato Forson will be used as a scapegoat; they themselves will bring him after the 2028 elections. The way they are pursuing Ken Ofori-Atta is the same way the NPP will do to him after the 2028 elections. The NDC should pray the world ends because if not, they won’t find it easy in the country,” he said.
Some Ghanaians reacting to Paul Yandoh stated, “WHAT HE MENTIONED IS NDC, BUT IF YOU HAVE SENSE YOU WILL KNOW HE IS THREATENING ALL GHANAIANS WHO VOTED NDC TOO…. AT THIS POINT THE NPP TOP LEADERS MUST JUST STOP ALL THEIR COMMUNICATIONS FROM SPEAKING… COS I NO SEE A SINGLE ONE WEY TALK LIKE SENDE DEY EN HEAD BEFORE ASWEAR”.
A netizen added, “Listening to him is like listening to someone with a low sense of communication.
No Ghanaian will vote for this party”.
One X user added, “This NPP party isn’t helping the citizens of this country. As the biggest opposition party to the ruling party, your criticism and arguments have to be ones that the government can’t overlook. But wei mo “Ibrahim Mahama has impregnated his spokesperson’s wife” – the narrative”.
An X user added, “Saying that this man speaks for market women is an insult. He speaks for fools who are on the same empty brainwave level. I’ve never heard him say anything that passed my ears into my brain. Such empty people as leaders Ei”.
One netizen added, “Ghanaians are slow. Have you seen progressive countries promoting partisan politics/debates/issues after elections? No, because after elections, we all need to focus on the nation and build it. The reason Ghana isn’t moving forward is because of partisan politics”.
“Hello, please, please is the NPP coming to arrest the NDC and forgetting the Ghanaian people and developing the country because every day this man will come here talk about the NDC will see when they come to power awww wy is that all u think about aww”, a netizen added.
An X user added, “They’re not interested in telling Ghanaians why they deserve a second chance in the common sense, but the focus is on how they will pay back the NDC. I think the NPP enjoys what its communicators do cos they feel so entitled and believe they are coming back”.
One X user added, “What has NPP not done already in 2017-2024? The cliche “ORDER FROM ABOVE ” muted the police and was enough to clip citizens’ rights. NPP want to construct their own culture of silence and intimidation on us, whilst they demonstrate freely to the gates of Flagstaff House today”.
