Prophet Nigel Gaisie, the Founder and Leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel, has clarified his earlier prophecy, which suggested the Black Stars of Ghana would reach the 2026 World Cup finals.
The man of God speaking to his congregants during his church service on December 31, 2025, revealed that the Black Stars will do extremely well at the finals.
Nigel Gaisie stated, “I’ve seen that they will go to the finals, finals. Listen, the Black Stars will do extremely well at the finals. I saw it. Black Stars of Ghana will do extremely well at the finals”.
He, however, warned that the World Cup in America may not be postponed.
Nigel Gaisie added, “I saw in America a lot of jets—a lot of jets in the space of America. If we don’t pray, the World Cup may not come on, or maybe we may postpone it, or there will be a problem with the American one.
“The LORD carried my spirit, and I saw planes in the space of America. I will pray, and we will avert it because prayer can avert the black stars of Ghana,” he said.
However, Prophet Nigel Gaisie has clarified, explaining that he has come forward to give context to prophecies he delivered during the December 31 crossover night, following public speculation about their meaning.
According to Nigel Gaisie, he was not referring to the World Cup grand finale.
The man of God is quoted by GHOne to have said, “When I said Ghana will do well at the finals, I wasn’t referring to the World Cup grand finale”.
Meanwhile, Otto Addo, the head coach of the Black Stars, has said he remains confident after being drawn against England, Croatia and Panama in Group L.
Speaking shortly after the draw in Washington stated, “It’s a tough group, it’s doable. There are worse groups, to be honest. I’m happy, especially for our fans on the East Coast of the USA, that they will be able to see us. Also, for this I’m very happy”.
“Especially if we have a good start against Panama, from there we can continue,” he added.
Additionally, legendary Black Stars former captain, Asamoah Gyan, has reacted to Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup draw after being paired with Croatia, Ghana and Panama in Group L.
Asamoah Gyan, who was at the event held in Washington, noted that the Black Stars’ World Cup group is very tricky.
According to Asamoah Gyan, all the countries in the group are good and will take work to qualify.
He asserted that Ghanaians back home want the Black Stars to qualify, and they will do their best to qualify.
