An alleged cousin of Joana Quaye, the ex-wife of Richard Nii Armah Quaye (RNAQ), has dropped more allegations against the businessman.

According to the cousin, RNAQ is influencing his ex-wife’s media access in the aftermath of their divorce.

She alleged that attempts by Joana to tell her side of the story have been blocked by RNAQ.

A netizen sharing the development on X wrote, “A woman who says she is a cousin of Joana Coffie has alleged that businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye is influencing media access in the aftermath of their divorce.

Speaking in a TikTok interview with content creator Trouble Carlos, she claimed attempts to help Joana Coffie tell her side of the story were repeatedly blocked.

“We tried to secure interviews for her, but the efforts kept getting frustrated,” she said.

According to her, one planned interview with vlogger Zion Felix did not go through at the final stage.

She also alleged that discussions were held in March 2025 with media personality Deloris Frimpong Manso for Joana Coffie to speak publicly.

“We had an agreement for her to share her side, but it didn’t happen,” she said. “Instead, Delay later interviewed him.”

The woman further claimed that efforts to follow up after that interview were unsuccessful.

“Afterwards, we couldn’t reach her again. We were blocked on all platforms,” she alleged.

She accused Richard Nii Armah Quaye of using his influence to shape the narrative.

“He is using his power to control access and make it difficult for her to be heard,” she said.

The claims come amid ongoing public discussion about the separation, which continues to generate reactions on social media.

However, Lawyers for Joana Quaye have refuted allegations made by her ex-husband, businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye (RNAQ), during an interview with Delay, labelling the claims as “substantially untrue”.

According to Joana Quaye’s Lawyers, Richard Nii Armah Quaye’s self-serving ex post facto interview with ‘Delay’ cannot change the fact, arguing that the interview was a publicity stunt.

Lawyers for Joana Quaye detailed that the allegations made by RNAQ unfairly castigated the reputation and integrity of their client, Joana Quaye.

The lawyers detailed that the marriage between the parties in 2010 soon after Richard Quaye’s return from a short stay in the United Kingdom in 2009 (at a time that he was unemployed and had none of the properties he owns now) is a matter of public record – record of proceedings of the High Court, Accra dated 13th March, 2024 – and cannot be changed by a self-serving ex post facto interview with “Delay”.

They further urged the public to disregard the wild and unfounded claims of “richness before marriage” made by Richard Nii Armah Quaye, adding that their client will surely get justice for the wrongs and abuses she has suffered one fine day.
