Every morning, I wake up at 6 a.m. and work until 10:30 p.m. or 11 p.m. Recently, I saw Dr Ofori’s 60th birthday. I saw so many nice ladies dressing up beautifully, enjoying life. I really envy that type of life. But I don’t know when I enjoyed my life, and also when I had a rest”
She added, “Running a company is not easy. Sometimes, I feel I’m not capable enough. I went everywhere to learn to study, but it is still hard” .
The CEO of Ghanaian automobile company, Zonda Tec Ghana Ltd, remarks have ignited netizens on social media saying, “Because of money you won’t retire, look at your face and age, everyone can clearly see you need to hand over everything to someone energetic so they can run it themselves you guide and mentor them but because of greed you go run everything, white people are also sometimes greedy”.
One X user added, “This woman has really displayed grit, dedication and enthusiasm in her quest to make her business stand out, is always the hardworking ones going through it the hardest way. I doff my hat for all women trying so hard to build success the clean and honest way”.
One more Ghanaian wrote, “People see the CEO title and assume glamour. They rarely see the sleepless nights, pressure, payroll stress, and mental fatigue behind it, but let’s not make this about gender!”.
An X user added, “She’s worth millions of dollars, so what her point here? Chinese people are stingy, and she doesn’t want to enjoy her worth here in Ghana”.
“A role model indeed. The work this woman puts into advertising her craft is something worth emulating. The sacrifice will pay off”, a netizen added.
One X user added, “I have paid attention to the details of her statement, and I want to conclude that the average Ghanaian youth is lazy. This woman is in her late 50’s and look at her routine. OMG”.
“I was in this lady’s office somewhere in 2021, and she taught me a very valuable lesson in skills acquisition and utilisation. I despised her at the very beginning until I realised what she meant. And oh! Her office is massive, clean, and her desk is out of this world. Solid woman!”, an X user added.
One last X user added, “Sorry, but then you are not managing your time well. There are a lot of ways to reduce time to be more productive and effective. Business is hard, no doubt, but the outcome is always on how you manage your business and employees”.
