Ghanaian man in US arrested 20 times, charged with multiple sexual offences

A 26-year-old Ghanaian man living in the US, Jeff Kufi Asare, has been arrested and charged with multiple sexual offences.

According to reports, Jeff Kuti Asare was arrested over separate incidents dating back to 1st August, 2026.

Reports suggest that over the past two weeks, the Oklahoma resident was arrested on three occasions in relation to sexual battery. 

August 1: Arrested on probable-cause allegations of felony sexual battery.

August 6: Arrested again on allegations of felony sexual battery and attempted kidnapping.

August 12: Arrested and booked on a first-degree rape charge.

One of the women is reported to have told the police that Asare allegedly pushed her against a bus stop window and put his hands down her pants.

Additionally, another woman who also filed her complaint said Asare approached her from behind while she was walking on Classen Boulevard, pulled down her pants, and fled after she pushed him away.

Asare was arrested on allegations of sexual battery and indecent exposure, but he was later released.

Five days later, he assaulted another woman near Scissortail Park.

Police detailed that Asare allegedly approached the woman from behind, grabbed her buttocks several times, and began digging in his pants. The woman asked him to leave, and he walked away.

The Police later spotted him and arrested him on another sexual battery allegation but he was again released.

Six days after the second arrest, police said Asare allegedly approached another woman from behind while she was on the Lake Hefner Trail.

He was subsequently arrested and is now being held in the Oklahoma County Jail on a first-degree rape charge.

Meanwhile, authorities said Asare’s bond has been set at $75,000, but the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office is seeking a higher amount due to the series of incidents.

Authorities report that the Ghanaian man has been arrested at least twenty(20) times for different offences since 2022.

His lengthy record of alleged offences includes breaking and entering, resisting an officer, shoplifting, trespassing, marijuana possession, sexual battery, indecent exposure, attempted kidnapping and first-degree rape.

Some Ghanaians reacting to the development stated, “How do you get arrested TWENTY times and still end up walking the streets? The justice system is failing all of his victims. The man is even smiling in one of his mugshots. Jeff Asare might be criminally insane. Behind every violent criminal is an undiagnosed mental illness”.

A netizen added, “Why he dey smile for ein mugshots? proper madman”.

One X user added, “They will keep releasing this idiot and before we realise he has murdered someone.

Just finish him off”.

“Ah. He be kwasiaaa paaa ooo. Go Abrokyire go work bring money see the nonsense he dey do for dere. Very foolish”, a netizen added.

Additionally, a netizen added, “Are they waiting for him to kill somebody b4 they jail him? Even in Ghana here, one mediocre judge would have jailed him at least 20 years by now”.

One last X user claimed, “He is an American citizen. No sane Ghanaian will travel and be engaging in repeated criminal activities . Take away his US citizenship and see how responsible he will become”.
