Kevin Taylor, a controversial US-based social media commentator and fake doctor Anne Sansa Daly have been fingered in an Accra land dispute.
In a 5-minute video shared on social media alleged that Kevin Taylor and partner Anne Sansa Daly fraudulently acquired Katamanso stool land in Accra using a forged title certificate from the Okanchu family.
According to the Katamanso stool, Kevin Taylor and Sansa Daly jointly obtained their grants from Laie Lomo and the Okanchu family.
The Katamanso stool urged that resolution must be done through the courts rather than social media or other means, and rejected the validity of the title obtained by Taylor and Sansa Daly.
They further cited alleged fraudulent annexation from the Okanchu family into the Katamanso stool land.
A representative of the Chief from the Katamanso stool speaking in a press conference detailed, “It is worthy to note that Kevin Taylor himself, in his usual rants, has confirmed the disputed land in contention is in Katamanso and not Okanman as speculated an evidence by his alleged acquisition.
The disputed land is situated in the heart of Great Pinquay Forest within Katamanso’s stool boundaries, known to have been sold to him that Kevin Taylor and his accomplice, Madame Anne Sansa Dali, whose appointment was recently revoked by President John Dramani Mahama.
They jointly obtained their grants from Laie Lomo and the Okanchu family, albeit the land being at Okanman, but rather the land happens to be in Katamanso. It was fraudulently annexed, and deceitfully, a Land Title Certificate was procured from the Survey and Mapping Division in the Land Registry division of the Greater Accra Lands Commission under peculiar circumstances”.
He further added, “For their want of education, we have two lands and family land within the greater Accra region and any misguided or fraudulent means by anyone as is the case for Okanchu Family executing a statutory declaration to annex the land in Katamanso being a stool area, though it was not given to them by the Katamanso Stool should not have obtained any legal and legitimate Land Title Certificates.
But as usual, the unfortunate happened thanks to the Lands Registry Division in Accra. For the records, securing a Land Certificate in the Katamanso stool area if it was not given to you by the Katamanso Stool, does not confer ownership of the legitimacy of ownership to you, as in the case of Kevin Taylor and his grandtors alluding that because the Okancho Family have fraudulently procured a Land Title Certificate, they are the legitimate owners of the land. It is not, and we will fearfully resist their efforts to try to take possession of those lands within the Katamansu Stool boundaries, which they have deemed that they can annex because the Land Title Certificate, which is a blatant product of fraud”.
The spokesperson further added, “The question one has to ask is what is their root of title? Every land in Greater Accra has an identity, so it’s Katamanso lands and not concocted Okanman allegedly located in Katamanso as claimed by Kevin Taylor and his accomplices”.
Most land disputes involving Katamanso have gone through due processes before judicial forums, inclusive of current substantive case which are before the court of competent jurisdiction. The only appropriate forum for substantive cases such matters and not the Kevin Taylor social media trials.
Kevin Taylor is being economical with the truth to insinuate that the revered chief presence on the lands commission board has given him a competitive advantage to assess the land commission system to expunge existing titles of individuals and families”.
