Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, the Gomoa Central Member of Parliament, has explained the reasons behind his recent attacks on National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia over his reported presidential ambitions.

According to A Plus, before he became a Gomoa Central Member of Parliament, Asiedu Nketia led a convoy to the area to campaign against him.

He alleged that Asiedu Nketia tarnished his image by telling constituents not to vote for him because he would use his position to have sexual relationships with their girlfriends and other women in the community.

According to A Plus, Asiedu Nketia’s comments hurt him, revealing his reasoning for intending to retaliate before eventually reconciling with Asiedu Nketia.

Speaking in a video, A Plus stated, “When he came to the constituency, he said, ‘ Don’t vote for A Plus because, when you vote for him, he will sleep with your girls. That was the campaign message he brought to Gomoa.

“So, for you to say these things about me and think I won’t do the same to you, your time has come. Keep quiet and let me do you some when we are done; we will become friends. If you don’t like me as a friend, too, to hell with you. I have nothing to lose ”, he said.

Kwame A-Plus’s explanation comes following his earlier statement where he criticised Asiedu Nketia over his reported presidential ambition.

A Plus questioned Asiedu Nketia’s long involvement in politics, arguing that despite the natural resources in his region, many communities continue to grapple with underdevelopment and poor living conditions.

In his remarks, the Gomoa Central MP pointed to what he described as persistent sanitation challenges, poverty and a lack of basic amenities, saying some residents still resort to open defecation while children go to bed hungry.

He argued that the presidency is a solemn responsibility that demands vision, leadership, accountability, and measurable results.

The Gomoa Central MP challenged Asiedu Nketiah to explain why his home region continues to struggle with underdevelopment despite its abundance of natural resources.

He further questioned whether Ghanaians should elect another elderly president, highlighting that Asiedu Nketiah would be 72 by the time he was inaugurated in 2029 if he won the presidency.

In a strongly worded statement on Facebook, Kwame A Plus stated, “You were in politics long before all this Dubai business began. Your own region, blessed with gold, timber, fertile soil, and enormous natural resources, continues to struggle with underdevelopment. Communities lack basic sanitation, people still sh!t in the bush, and children go to bed hungry.

And now you want to become what? President of Ghana?

We came out of a similar situation less than two years ago, after electing a 72-year-old “painti ma mentɔ” man who eventually left office at 80. Now, you are 69. By the time you are inaugurated in 2029, you will be 72! And if you are President for two terms like Okukuseku, you’ll leave office at 80. Ah! What did we do to deserve this? Why? Is it a curse or what?

What guarantees do Ghanaians have that, after your Akufo Addo lookalike presidency, your family will not also become fugitives who desperately attempt to renounce their Ghanaian citizenship, like Ken Ofori-Atta?

The presidency is not a retirement package or a reward for spending decades in politics engaging in sarcasm. It is a solemn responsibility that demands vision, leadership, accountability, and measurable results.

You and your fanfoolers can be angry and say things about Gomoa. F*ck off. I’ve been in office for less than two years but have achieved more than this man. These days, I’ve adopted a certain lifestyle: when I say things you don’t like, and you get angry, I say even more. I love getting under your skin, and your insults give me orgasm!

You may now proceed to vent your frustrations in the comments section while I sit back, relax, and play with my hairy balls”.
