In a post on X reacting to the interview on X, Nana Aba did not hold back in her assessment of the March & March leader, labelling her a ‘bloodthirsty xenophobic creature’.

According to her, individuals like Jacinta who incite hatred should not be given the same platform or legitimacy as those engaged in genuine public debate.

Nana Aba Anamoah in her post wrote, “She’s not an activist. She’s a bloodthirsty xenophobic creature who has built a platform on fear and hostility towards black Africans.

People who incite hatred against others don’t deserve to be treated as though their views are just another side of a civilised debate.

Normalising hate under the banner of balance only makes intolerance and gross stupidity more acceptable”.

Meanwhile, the anti-immigration groups in South Africa held protests across the country on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, against undocumented African immigrants to leave the country.

The protest led to the death of a 40-year-old, Bashiru Isak, a Ghanaian who was killed during an anti-immigration protest in Khayelitsha, a community in Cape Town.

Also, the Government of Ghana has condemned the killing of a Ghanaian national in South Africa during anti-immigrant demonstrations.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the incident was a senseless act of violence and calls for the immediate arrest and prosecution of those responsible.

Reports suggest Bashiru Isak, the victim, had legal status to stay in South Africa, where he had been living for the past 20 years.

Also, Bashiru Isak had the necessary documentation to run his business, which he had been operating for more than a decade.

The Ghanaian man was also living in South Africa with his wife and three children, with his eldest child 10 years old.

A report by JoyNews indicated that Bashiru, who was a tailor, was shot dead in his shop when some thugs belonging to one of the anti-immigration groups, March-and-March, broke into his shop and shot him dead.

Also, a video from the scene of the incident showed Bashiru Isak lying in a pool of blood.

In a viral video, a man who was covering Bashiru’s lifeless body with a cloth stated, “Sorry, my brother.”

In related news, Julius Malema, a South African opposition leader, has launched a scathing attack on the ongoing anti-immigration protesters in South Africa.

According to Julius Malema, the march against foreign African nationals is clownish and stupid.

He argued that there is no xenophobia in South Africa, adding that it’s just a group of charlatans, extortionists, disruptors, and corrupt individuals who want to extort foreign nationals.

Julius Malema also claimed that the anti-immigration protests are being sponsored by the South African government to distract South Africans from their failures.

Speaking in an interview pm Sky News, Julius Malema stated, “It is clownish – clownish and stupid. There is no xenophobia in South Africa; it’s just a group of charlatans, extortionists, disruptors, corrupt individuals who want to extort foreign nationals.

“It’s not xenophobia; it’s gangsterism sponsored by government. The government is fully informed to distract our people from many major issues. How can an ordinary person be handling a man in front of the police, because it’s a crime on its own,” he said.

According to Julius Malema, records show that a majority of crimes in South Africa, including rape, are committed by South African men and not foreigners natioanls.

Julius Malema added, “Let go and check the cases of rape: who raped South Africa? South African men. Who beats up South Africa’s children? South African men. The majority of the prisoners there are not Zimbabwe, it’s not Ghana, it’s not Nigeria, it’s not TRC, it’s South African men,

“So when you say they are committing crime, why are they not in jail? Because they are not committing any crime, but they become an easy target,” she said.
