Reports gathered suggest Nana Ama Osei-Bonsu, known as “Queen Amadia”, the wife of Goldridge Chief Executive Officer (CEO)Sledge Duodu, popularly known as Dr Sledge, after her arrest, is struggling to explain over US$90 million found in her account.

The report detailed that Queen Amadia has been in the custody of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) since her arrest.

The Herald alleged that Dr Sledge’s wife is struggling to account for the source of funds estimated at more than US$90 million.

They further detail that Queen Amadia, as of Friday, 15 May 2026, is still in EOCO custody after failing to satisfy her bail conditions, including securing legal representation.

“There are also reports that additional sums, running into the millions of dollars, have been identified in several bank accounts.

There are suspicions that the funds identified in her bank accounts could be linked to Goldridge Refinery Limited”, The Herald added.

Reports also alleged that the marriage between Queen Amadia and Dr Sledge, reportedly his second marriage, is said to be on the rocks. There have been allegations that  Dr Sledge’s wife moved out of their matrimonial home several months ago.

It will be recalled that news broke last week that the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) had arrested Queen Amadia, the wife of Goldridge CEO Sledge Duodu, popularly known as Dr Sledge.

Reports suggest that Queen Amadia was arrested at the Accra International Airport on 12 May 2026.

Dr Sledge’s wife, according to reports, was reportedly intercepted while allegedly attempting to leave the country, amid ongoing investigations involving Dr Sledge by the Office of the Special Prosecutor over transactions linked to the Minerals Income Investment Fund.

In September 2025, Dr Sledge was detained by the OSP after he reportedly failed to meet bail conditions.

He was later released from the custody of the OSP after meeting his bail conditions on Monday, September 29.

Dr Sledge is under investigation for suspected corruption and corruption-related offences linked to the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF), gold trade programme.

Earlier that year, in February 2025, the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, revealed the probe into the alleged corruption at the MIIF, alleging that over $94 million in state funds were lost through Goldridge Refinery’s failure to honour trade settlements under the Gold for Oil initiatives.

The OSP then stormed the Trassaco residence of Nana Yaw Duodu, also known as Dr Sledge and his East Legon offices of Goldridge Company Limited.

The OSP raids follow ongoing investigations into the $94 million Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) gold trade programme.

According to the OSP, the raid was conducted under warrants issued by the High Court in Accra, which target suspected corruption and corruption-related offences.

The OSP search led to the seizure of luxury vehicles, jewellery, firearms, and documents connected to landed properties linked to the $94m MIIF Probe.

A post by the OSP on social media read, “As part of ongoing investigations, the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) today conducted searches at the Trassaco residence of Nana Yaw Duodu, also known as Dr Sledge, and at the East Legon offices of Goldridge Company Limited. The searches were carried out under warrants issued by the High Court in Accra.

Nana Yaw Duodu is under investigation for suspected corruption and corruption-related offences linked to the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) gold trade programme, which allegedly caused a loss of US$94 million to the State.

The OSP’s Asset Recovery and Management Team seized several items, including luxury vehicles, jewellery, weapons, and documents relating to landed properties”.
