UPSA female students launched a campaign

Some female students of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) have launched a campaign to educate fellow students against the sharing of indecent sexual content online.

In the viral video shared on X by SIKAOFFICIAL, the UPSA female students were heard saying, “Don’t share your nudes, they will leak it”.

Their campaign is in response to the growing incidents of leaks among UPSA students.

Some Ghanaians reacting to the development stated, “This is pure nonsense.

Upon all the serious issues in the school, this is what they find interesting to demonstrate against????

Sad sad sad”.

“I won’t be surprised if another leak will be released after this”, a netizen added.

One X user added, “The campaign was launched after leaks among students. My dear students, the internet never forgets. A screenshot is forever.  Love shouldn’t require evidence”.

A netizen argued, “Some of those in Uni are very young and naive. Their parents probably should do more before sending them to school… Very sad”.

“This campaign needs to reach every university in Ghana, including UDS. Digital safety is a public health issue, and Ghanaian students deserve better protection online”, a Ghanaian argued.

Another X user noted, “So that means they can record themselves having sex. The chant is supposed to be don’t record yourself having sex lol”.

“So recording themselves is okay, but sharing it is the problem?  Aah, future leaders are not ready to solve issues from it’s roots”, one X user quizzed.

A netizen cautioned, “This is very sound advice. Safe sex has gone beyond using contraceptives

Cameras have no place in the bedroom. We still live in a society where the victims of revenge porn are blamed. If you must have fun, be wise in your doings”.

“Why will u even record your nude whilst u own your own body, can’t you hide in the washroom and watch yourself whenever you feel like?, than keeping your nudes on your phones?”. One X user asked.

One last netizen added, “That’s not the case. There’s a course called Development Communication, and every year the lecturer makes it clear that it is a project-based course, with the topic assigned by her. In my year, we worked on G6PD advocacy. The following batch worked on Migrate Legally”,
