Ghanaian fashion icon Nana Akua Addo and her husband, Harold Duodu Norman, have become the subject of intense discussion on social media following the circulation of videos and allegations concerning their marriage.
Viral videos showing the couple and members of their families engaged in heated exchanges and altercations have sparked widespread reactions, with both parties presenting different accounts of events.
According to reports, the couple’s marital difficulties have persisted throughout their 14-year marriage, with the situation reportedly worsening in 2021.
That year, a woman identified as Jenny Brown was alleged to have had an affair with Norman in London, which reportedly resulted in a pregnancy. Nana Akua Addo later confirmed in an interview with Zionfelix that her husband had an affair with Jenny Brown in 2021.
On October 6, 2026, videos dating back to 2021 resurfaced on social media, showing Nana Akua Addo involved in a heated confrontation with members of her husband’s family.
In one of the videos, a man believed to be her brother-in-law is heard accusing her of infidelity and using derogatory language against her.
Another video showed Nana Akua Addo at a health facility with a swollen lip, blood-stained clothing and visible injuries. Reports circulating online have alleged that she was physically assaulted by her husband.
Other videos circulating online have also raised concerns about the alleged treatment of the couple’s daughter, who is reportedly a child with special needs.
According to reports, the child allegedly took money from a room belonging to her father without his permission. The money was reportedly intended for a spiritual ritual, described in the reports as “juju”, ahead of the child’s return to school.
A video purportedly shows Norman beating the child while questioning her about why she entered the room. Nana Akua Addo, who appeared distressed in the footage, is heard protesting against the alleged beating and accusing her husband of also abusing her.
Following the emergence of the videos, Norman, through his lawyers, disputed claims that he assaulted Nana Akua Addo.
In a statement issued on October 6, 2026, his legal team, led by Emmanuel Bright Atokoh, claimed that Norman had also been subjected to domestic violence.
The lawyers alleged that Nana Akua Addo attempted to stab their client with a knife during an argument over alleged infidelity.
According to the statement, Norman, fearing for his safety, picked up a dressing mirror with wooden cladding to shield himself. The lawyers claimed the knife struck the mirror, causing it to break, and that a shard subsequently hit Nana Akua Addo’s lip.
The legal team therefore rejected claims that Norman assaulted her and caused the injury.
Nana Akua Addo has also spoken publicly about her experiences during the marriage. During a live TikTok session, she alleged that her husband imposed a curfew on her and would beat her if she returned home late from events.
She also claimed that she had endured the alleged abuse for years because she wanted to accumulate enough money to leave the marriage. Nana Akua further alleged that Norman had prevented her from securing some ambassadorial opportunities.
The fashion icon also claimed that Norman failed to provide adequate support during one of her pregnancies. She alleged that she developed eclampsia at seven months and eventually suffered a stillbirth because she did not receive the necessary medical attention.
The marital dispute has also brought another woman, identified as Esi Boss, into the spotlight. Videos circulating online show Esi Boss driving a Mercedes-Benz allegedly purchased by Norman. She has also claimed that Nana Akua Addo sent individuals she described as thugs after her.
Esi Boss further stated that she was no longer involved romantically with Norman and warned Nana Akua against interpreting her silence as weakness.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Harold Duodu Norman was picked up by the Ghana Police Service on August 26, 2026.
According to reports and videos circulating online, his arrest was linked to allegations of continued abuse involving Nana Akua Addo. The allegations and counterclaims have generated significant public interest, although the parties involved have given conflicting accounts of the events.
