Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah later shared footage showing the overturned SUV, adding that they were safe and receiving medical evaluation.

In a post on his social media page, the MP stated, “Earlier today, my team and I were involved in a road accident while on a mission to secure school slots for students in Ahafo Ano South West.

“We are safe, receiving medical evaluation, and deeply grateful for your prayers and support,” he wrote.

The MP, however, did not provide further details about the accident.

Some Ghanaians reacting to the development stated, “The wheels aren’t of the same sizes, you know? Thank God for your lives”.

A netizen added, “We’ll all face it if we fail to address issues concerning our roads. Driving in SUV’s won’t help it someday! Power must be used for its intended purpose! Speedy recovery to you and your team”.

“Speedy recovery!

But I don’t understand some of the accidents unless someone explains it to me. Is it overspeeding or vehicle fault, or a lack of applying technical know-how in driving?  Hmm”, a netizen added.

A netizen quizzed, “You were driving to go and secure school slots? As an MP? is that your job? Because you believe you are a political figure, so you have added that to your portfolio??

Your action is as a result of a failed system and your quest to make political gains out of it.

Senseless!”

“Gods of our land spared your life to speak truth, not to follow foolish propaganda in your party. Ghana must be your first, not political party”, an X user added.

One last netizen added, “Ya party was in power fr Good 8 yrs, u no tell them to do this road …waa see road, accident fit happen but there are certain things we need to put in place to prevent such tins..shalom”.
